Round 1 Good consistent work by Leather, rollerblading around Nesbitt and doubling the left jab straight into his guard, spreading the forearms at times as he snaps it on the go. 1-2 dropped in by Leather as Nesbitt reaches with a slower jab from outside and falls short. Slapping left hook on the pass-by from Leather, never ceasing to circle. 10-9 Leather
Josh Leather could be a future star, just needs to start sitting down on his punches better although he's still very young so i'm sure power will come soon.
Round 2 Leather is still cruising, making donuts around Nesbitt, popping the jab. Leather is given nothing to worry about on the outside as he drifts endlessly to his left popping the strong jab at Nesbitt's head. 10-9 Leather 20-18 Leather
Round 3 Leather is bringing more of the same, going left, doubling his still-sharp jab, mostly hitting the outer part of Nesbitt's wrists but occasionally piercing through and getting a piece of his face. Not much else going on. 10-9 Leather 30-27 Leather
Round 4 Leather is starting to mix in different shots now, hopping inside, alighting with a 1-2-3 and getting out. Nesbitt is covering up and plodding forward, putting jabs down at the faraway body of Leather. Dancing left, then fading right, Leather scores a jab from mid-range and then circles out beyond Nesbitt's reach. 10-9 Leather 40-36 Leather
Nesbitt last recorded a win in 2010...and last recorded a win over someone with a positive record in 2004. Plain to see why. :!: He isn't even a Peter McDonagh or Kristian Laight type, either. I'm not sure what Leather is supposed to be learning from this. He could be running around a heavy bag in the gym doing this.
Round 1 Smith is flashing his jab in Evans' face and hopping to his left, leaning over and putting his gloves up at the top of his head like horns, reaching with a left hook around Evans' guard. Smith is jabbing from the hip and hurling right hands up top from outside, backing Evans up. A few jabs dipping and rolling in by Evans, but one per go. Smith is busier and fairly accurate with his jab. 10-9 Smith
Round 2 Smith is taking sliding in-steps with his left leg and skewering Evans with the jab. Smith is defeating Evans in the jab battle, keeping it at close range and staying in an attacking crouch. Left hook by Smith as Evans flurries backing up. Hard right hand to the body off a double jab speeding in by Smith. Right hand up top. Evans down in a corner. Evans is up and swinging away but immediately down again by the ropes from another powerful straight right as Smith leaps into him. TKO2!!
Yeah he definately looked good tonight after his last performance against Moises where he injured his hand. The stoppage was too early as usual in a British fight but there was only ever going to be one winner.
