Can people please help me out here.
I've seen very little of Crawford and what I have seen of him he looks a good fighter but nothing outstanding..... I don't really understand the way some people are raying him very highly.
To see Ricky Burns as nearly a 2/1 underdog at home to an unproven fighter is puzzling me greatly.
Can you fellas fill me in on Crawford's strengths and explain why he is seen as such a strong favourite in the champions back yard??
Very much looking forward to this fight.
Going to be a very very good fight this I can feel it in my bones!

I've watched Crawford in 5 or 6 fights and he's got outstanding skills and technique, it's also the ease and manner with which he boxes that makes him a possible future Top 10 P4P even though some people complain that he doesn't finish off his opponent when he's dominating them.

Imagine a faster, slicker and better version of Miguel Gonzalez who fought Ricky last year and you've basically got Terrance Crawford.

I doubt the fight will be good unless you like one sided beatdowns which is what i think Crawford is going to hand out to Burns.

Crawford to win a clear UD(118-110) and if he really goes for it then i expect him to stop Ricky by the 10th round either by TKO or a Billy Nelson Corner Stoppage.

Seen. Crawford a few times he is skilled but all against lesser fighters who let him do as he wants and didnt pressure him. Burns on points out hustles him bullies him

Burns has looked bad of late. A broken jaw is also a serious injury and I believe it will be impossible not to be subconsciously thinking about that as you are in the ring.

Whilst physically it will of healed, has the psychological effect of the break healed? Different sport, but I see it regularly in amateur football, guys who have had bad ones, coming back and although 100% fit and strong... it takes them a while to get over being 'careful', if you get me.

I've seen Crawford fight 2-3 times now and well... It is going to take a career best performance to win this one IMO.

If burns can box smart this time around he should win this on points or maybe even a late stoppage, burns has an award winning engine but his problem in his last few has been him trying to get into a brawl rather than box smart and win

I think Ricky has his hands full, Crawford looks the real deal to me but until he starts mixing at world level nobody will honestly know how good Crawford is.

Ricky is mixing at world level and has done so for a while but I think he would admit himself the last couple of performances were not good but the potential threat of Crawford and the fact Ricky seems to be the underdog might just bring the best out of him.... well I hope it does.

Bob Arum having conversations with the WBO about judges and scoring is a concern.

All that said, it should be a cracking fight.

I do think he is a rightful slight favorite over Burns - though not at 2/1 certainly - but after seeing the way Miguel Angel Vázquez completely dismantled an (IMO) equally good fighter in Shafikov, I now have very little doubt that Crawford will suffer the same fate if he ever runs afoul of Vázquez.

    135lbs 1st tier: Vázquez & Gamboa
    2nd tier: Crawford & Shafikov
3rd tier: Burns, Beltran, Lundy, Abril
    4th tier: Figueroa, Aoh, Mitchell
    5th tier: Crolla, Molina, Maduma

top rank and cameron dunkin would only allow their hottest talent to fight over in the u.k if they knew he was going to win.

crawford will be way too slick and elusive for ricky, this is going to be a one sided schooling. people make a big thing about the crowd, but if ricky isn't landing anything their going to make no noise.

Only saw him against Prescott, and he looks more of a boxer type than anything else.Boxed, understandably, carefully in that fight but did not beat Prescott any clearer than did Mitchell.Ricky, despite what any body says, has been a fighting champion and beat some class men, though lucky as well as extremely brave in his last one.Billy Nelson bigs him up a bit but what do we expect??I know who I will be rooting for,but can't pick a winner. One thing I am sure of,your last statement is correct. And if Burns pulls off that performance one or 2 should, but won't,be apologising to Nelson.

I've not seen enough of Crawford to make a confident prediction, as i've said previously. The only way i see him discouraging Ricky is by hurting him, and from what i've seen he's a boxer not a puncher.
I think Ricky will bulldoze him into the ropes and try to bully him from the get go, it'll then be interesting to see what Crawford does next, and how he'll react when he doesn't have room and time to do his thing.
