Middle beating up a fat welter, really?

It may sound harsh , but i never rated this win as big others did.

And to be balanced I thought Hopkins vs Tarver is a much better example of a perfect gameplan / fight.

 

Holyfield vs Tyson...he knew he could take his punches. He also roughed up the bully...

I think fat welter is a bit harsh, Trinidad slowly moved up from welter, had a number of fights at Junior middle against decent opposition and then basted out Joppy (who was highly rated at the time) at middleweight prior to fighting Hopkins..

During those fights it was clear he still brought his devastating power up from welterweight to middleweight and was classified as the top pvp fighter in the world at the time? Not to mention he actually held the WBA middleweight belt

He didn't lay a hand on BHOP all night, it was embarrassing to watch at times

and if I'm right in saying Trinidad was the clear favourite on the night?

If he's jumped 2 divisions to fight Hopkins id maybe agree with you but that was not the case

 

Sanchez-Gomez IMAO. Two top tier ATGs Sanchez dispatched him with ease and class like it was nothing.
