The fact is two shakes is saying stamina cannot be improved and that's a ridiculous statement

Stamina can be improved of course but there is a ceiling as to how much stamina one can have, just like strength/punching power etc. If a fighter has reached his maximum genetic potential, staminawise, then the only other way to improve it is by use of drugs.

Saying stamina can't be improved is a ridiculous statement to make, that is like saying strength or speed can not be improved... of course it can. Whether or not Groves can improve his stamina is not something someone on an internet forum can say with any certainty. Whether or not he has reached his maximum potential is a matter for him and his coaches. Without knowing his particular routine and training schedule you cannot say with anything with any certainty.

Saying Groves can't improve his stamina is just ridiculous. Sports science is becoming more and more advanced all the time. He's never gonna be Joe Calzaghe for stamina, but he can improve on where he was for the last fight

The question mark in this fight is if Groves can hurt Froch early, if he does that again he can control the fight. If Froch gets to him first though it will be interesting to see how Groves copes. This one could be over very quickly

    At last, somebody who understands.

If Groves has had a weakness in past fights its been stamina, so i would of imagined his team would have tried to address it before now. Apparently he's going to turn up for the rematch with a new engine, and then box Frochs head off for 12 rounds without taking a breath.

Yes. Well if it was that easy to improve stamina then fighters who chronically slow down later in fights and look to have stamina issues as a consistent weakness would just train for more stamina and it would be sorted. Just like saying that a light punching fighter could just train for more power and have one punch KO power. It doesn't work like that.

Basically natural fittness, you can improve your stamina but only to a point. Froch has a natural fittness level far greater then Groves
