If Angulo TKO's Alvarez, how much credit would you give Mayweather's win?

First off, if I'm Floyd, I don't give Canelo the fight unless Canelo agrees to take a dive.

I have no idea how much Floyd paid him nor who was involved.

I'm sure Golden Boy had something to do with it.

Why would you risk compromising Mayweather when he still makes HUNDREDS of millions of dollars.

    You don't.

You still want to keep the prospect of potential fights open, like the Pacquaio fight for instance that will make hundreds of millions of dollars.

Canelo could take a loss and come back and have a prosperous career.

He could even fight Mayweather down the road, for Mayweather's last fight, IF and it's a big IF, Mayweather agrees to fight him for real.

I rate Angulo quite highly, it would not be a surprise to see him stop Canelo.

Could someone please give me a detailed breakdown of why Canelo definitely earned any particular round? I honestly didn't find one for him and was a) rooting for him, b) lucid and sober and c) observing a high quality feed.

I don't remember there even being one that felt like "Hey, that might have been OK to give him, by fudging it a little..." :conf

Some individual rounds were more competitive than others, but they all seemed pretty clear for Mayweather.

This. El Perro is that kind of spanner in the works that makes boxing so interesting. On a given night he can lose to a Kirkland or come damn near stopping a Lara, who is many, many, many levels above Kirkland.

Angulo is going to take a massive beating from Alvarez.
    (I feel bad for him)

I hope you realize that this fight is a complete JOKE. Beating a guy who suffered a broken orbital bone in his last fight means *nothing*. This fight shouldn't see the opening of the 5th...

I just happen to be of the opinion that if you're going to lose the biggest fight of your career, at least go down having given your absolute best effort.

The second half of that fight would qualify as a good sparring session - and I'm being generous.

Floyd gets a lot of **** for fighting a boring style - and sometimes that's true - but you gotta lay some blame at the feet of these guys who show up to put on a sparring session for the PPV audience. Floyd does just enough to win and the guys in front of him do just enough to go the full 12 rounds.

I thought Floyd took off the 8th round. Alvarez looked to me like he started to gas around the 4th but caught a second wind in the 8th and put in some good work during that round, IMO...

Canelo's workrate, Stamina, Heart, his lack of killer instinct and this will be the strongest natural jr middleweigt and most definitely the hardest puncher. With Alvez we have seen him walked down by smaller guysl at times by Jose Cotto, Alfonso Gomez, Mayweather, Josesito and he even ran from Trout's feather-fists. Canelo has been fed blown up Jr welterweights or Welterweights and Angulo may possibly be the second hardest puncher at 154lbs behind Kirkland.

I see Canelo takint a serious beating against Angulo, especially on the ropes where Canelo will be the whole fight, but the bad news is Canelo's footwork is terrible and Angulo cuts off the ring well.......I got Angulo by 10th round TKO or KO.
