Ricardo Lopez vs Alex Sanchez should be mentioned. Lopez has had a lot of perfect fights, despite some questionable oppositions.

I thought Duran - Barkley was a hell of a good performance by both fighters, but particularly by Duran.

That a guy can give up youth, height, reach, weight and power and fight a champion at his best weight and win, is one of the most amazing fights I've ever seen. Ended up being the fight of the year.

    Of more recent times:

    Mayweather-Corrales
    Hopkins-Trinidad

What was most impressive about those destructive wins is that all 4 men at the time were universally considered top 10 P4P fighters.

Strangely enough I thought Pac was fighting a near perfect fight prior to him getting KO'd in the 6th round of their last fight.

It was a complete mismatch, but I gotta say Floyd vs Gatti. Floyd looked absolutely perfect in that fight and completely untouchable.

Have to agree with Rigo vs Donaire, esp due to how big an underdog Rigo was, ring mag experts favoured Nonito by 23-1... Must say I called Rigo and I'm still lving off it!

Floyd vs Corrales was also very impressive, Floyd best performance to date IMO, would have been interesting to see how gd Chico really was if he haven't has passed away...

Pac vs Oscar? Or do we just accept ODH was complexly shot and weight drained? He was a massive favourite but I think he just couldn't handle PAC speed rather than a methodical gameplan

Gd to see many older fights getting a mention tho I can't vouch for them

    Great thread btw OP

Ppl may not agree due to the army of PAC fans but the way in which JMM ko'ed him the fight 4 was perfect, yes PAC had been winning the fight and looking dangerous but no one can deny JMM was looking for that punch the whole fight...

He'd worked out the way PAC was weaving before throwing his punches and he had tried the shot a few times before landing it perfectly, IMO that shot was down to a worked out gameplan and not a lucky shot which a lot of people claim.... He came into the fight looking to land that shot and executed it perfectly when the chance presented itself
