Ultimately though a Trainer can only work so many miracles with the boxer he has at his disposal and you've already done amazing things with Ricky and took a British level fighter and made him into a Two weight World Champion, i bet there's not many trainers in the world who could have done that with Ricky.

You've stretched that elastic band as far as it will go and it's now at snapping point and i think Crawford will be the one who finally snaps it. If/when Burns loses on saturday that is no reflection on the brilliant job you've done with him, he's already massively over-achieved but not even Billy Nelson can make a good fighter a great one.

His left hook too the body has frightening power aswell. Looked sharp today :good Billy and Matthew's got him in great shape.

 

Today was a different Ricky I saw from the Beltran workout in terms of just the look about him. I genuinely believe he looked a hell of a lot more focused today, looks like he's in the zone on ready for it.

Not that he didn't against Betran but just seemed more focused today I think. Team Burns know what's at stake I'm fairly confident nothing has been left unturned.

Not sure I'll make the weigh in but bring on Saturday.
