Twitter is buzzing about this fight.

The casual fan seems very interested. Everyone saying they can't wait to see it.

I bet Broner is salty right now though

If the undercard isn't stacked, this fight will have trouble reaching Guerrero numbers.

I see this fight as Floyd vs. Guerrero 2.0. Mannys rematch vs Bradley is more significant (we will always compare them, unavoidable). But given that there were only two choices, Maidana made more sense, event wise

How is Manny v Bradley more significant? Manny already beat Bradley in most everyone's eyes. The only thing significant is there won't be any VADA testing by one side.

Floyd destroying Maidana would actually look bad for Broner and make Broner look like **** because the gap between Mayweather and Broner would be on display for the casuals. Broner should hope and pray that the fight is as close as possible.

I actually agree. Though I am in the minority. Maidana is an easy sell to casuals. People say "noone knows him"... but forget that SHO/CBS is going to spend 10-20 million on changing that, and Maidana has given them ample material to make the job easy.

I really hope this flops. Nothing against Floyd, but this isn't even a top 7 or 8 opponent. . And that isn't counting a Sergio, GGG, Ward or some other more unrealistic fights.. You can argue that Floyd is a heavy favorite against anyone...but this is a PPV fight... you gotta fight at least a top 3 guy.

I dont know dude. He's a major title holder, on the same promotion team, comiing off a dominant win.

    It makes sense.

I dont get why people go on and on about it so much. Unless Floyd fights a MW, or got a fight from someone at Top Rank (thinking of Bradley, not the PAC fight which wont ever happen) there is noone he is going to face where he will not be a heavy favorite.

The only two people not TR and not 160 except maybe Lara who have a chance are Garcia and Provodnikov. The caveat there being... they dont have a chance YET. If those guys had another 2 years of seasoning with top level fights then I think it might be a chance... but Floyd will be retired by then.
