Anyone more interested in the Mayweather-Maidana undercard announcement?

Mayweather-Maidana is one of those fights that we all know Floyd will win fairly easily even though we'll get sucked into the hype about Maidana having a shot.

I'm fair more excited about the announcement of the undercard as we could see some great match-ups and save what will probably be a very one sided Main event.

Possible undercard fights could be:

Thurman vs Matthysse
Broner vs Khan
Thurman vs Broner
Khan vs Porter
Guerrero vs Broner
Matthysse vs Cano
Khan vs Peterson rematch
Guerrero vs Thurman

They better make some big fights on the undercard or else the PPV could bomb.

 

Of course, glad Thurman will most likely definitely be on it, as much as id wanna see Thurman vs Matthysse

Think Thurman vs Porter and Matthysse vs Collazo make more sense

 

I'm pretty sure 6 out of following 8 boxers will make up the May 3rd undercard:

Thurman, Porter, Matthysse, Collazo, Khan, Broner, Guerrero and Cano.

The question is which 6 fighters will it be and who will face who as there's alot of different scenarios and all would make intriguing fights no matter what the match-up is.

 

All but confirmed that Mares v Miura will be on it.

 

I wouldn't be surprised, they definately need a few Mexicans on the undercard.

 

Yeah, they could literally be put in a hat and taken out and all be good fights

I can easily see Khan vs Cano thats the only person I think Khan beats from the bunch

 

Guerrero vs Broner was talked about a while ago. I would love to see that.

 

Gollazo vs Khan would be fantastic but not as realistic.

 

What I am praying for is Russell Jr vs someone with a pulse on the undercard. Along with:

I think Abner Mares vs Takashi Miura for the WBC Super Featherweight World title seems like a sure thing for the undercard as they need a Mexican on the undercard.

Thurman vs either Collazo or Matthysse seems like another definate.

They need something big to rival Mattyhsse vs Garcia on the May-Canelo card and a fight like Khan-Broner would do that.

 

Yeah anyone who knows boxing will be far more interested in the undercard then the main fight, we know who wins the main even but the undercards will likely be far more even 50/50 fights. That is the one good thing about Floyd fights the undercards tend to be amazing.

 

Khan is not fighting on this chumps undercard.

"TMT promotions" (lol) know that this fight will be harder to sell so will probably try to stack the undercard as much as possible. That way Floyd can continue to deflect questions about Manny Pacquiao with PPV statistics
