Sperm is a ducking coward.... Macklin deserved the nod against him, Sperm like Quillin is a paper champion and nothing more. Both would lose soundly to GGG.

Maybe Sperm can give Macklin the rematch that he owes him? Then we can see him lose, and Macklin can rematch GGG. Macklin unlike Sperm is not a coward and wants to fight the best!

If by some miracle Felix decided to step up now and fight GGG I think it goes the way Felix thought it would and he loses by KO.

Much has been made of Sturm's vaunted jab but GGG was a fantastic amatuer and so would be able to cope with it IMO. Felix tends to look out of his depth anytime someone ups the pace and I think GGG would force him out if his comfort zone very quickly, violently stalking.

Felix may win a couple if early rounds then it's one way traffic. I wouldn't be so sure if Felix hadn't done everything in his power to avoid this fight- I mean imagine what that would do to his psyche alone? Being reluctant and then forced to fight can't be too good for the old confidence.

:good The one worry for Felix is if Gennady catches and counters his jab. Gennady is very good at the catch and counter so Sturm would need to vary the type of jab, the amount and the speed.

    Good post btw :thumbsup.

The best of Sturm would be in with a chance, maybe even 50-50.
I think that perhaps his best is now behind him however and he has always struggled with consistently delivering the level of performance he is capable of.

I think Sturms down fall would be shots straight down the pipe. it would take a few rounds for GGG to start sinking them in but with that ear muff guard its just a matter of time. KO rd 5 at a push.

Oh by the way the fight will never happen lol!

Golovkins would knock Sturm out and Sturm knows it. Sturm wil never come near Golovkin..............

Possibly not. Maybe even probably not...but stranger things have happened. Money is the root of all good.
Point enough of it at a man and he will do what you want.

If everyone simply gives up and assumes it can never happen, then it never will.
You must admit you would rather see GGG fight Felix than the mostly fairly hopeless cases he has been facing up to now?
If enough people push for it it just might happen. :good

The German fans have been paying him big bucks to fight undeserving fighters for years it's them who call the shots when it comes to Felix and they've supported him and his path of least resistance all the way. Can't see why they change now and force his hand.

Felix Sturm paid the WBA $100k to be elevated to "Super Champ" so he could avoid fighting Golovkin.
That tells me all I need to know.

Macklin gave Sturm all he could handle coming forward and applying pressure... GGG would stop him

I'd rather see this fight than Golovkin - Geale. I like Sturm's crisp sound punches but i can't stand his high passive guard (Uli Wegner style) and low volume.

It's all about public demand and money. People complain all the time about the lack of good fights at middleweight ( actually there are plenty that could be made).

Look at canelo V angulo. this is being packaged as a kind Of super fight. But I bet most knowledgeable boxing fans would rate Sturm v GGG as a far superior fight between two superior boxers. There is a huge demand for Angulo Alvarez among the big spending Latino fan base (live attendees and PPV) meanwhile few Eurasians are screaming for GGG v Sturm.
So the inferior fight gets made and the superior fight never happens....shame really!
