We all know that's not what the fans really asked for.

 

What did they ask for?, Andre Ward, Wladimir Klitschko and Golovkin?

 

I don't care much for the Maidana fight but Maidana has a better chance than Khan.

 

The same fight they have been asking for the last 5 years. Floyd didn't give the fans what he wanted, he gave the fans the better of two mismatches.

Whether Pacquiao is fighting someone else is irrelevant to my statement, the crux of which is that Floyd didn't "give the fans what they wanted". He gave them two non-intriguing, safe options to choose from.

 

If the fans didn't want either fight, they wouldn't have voted. :deal

Fact is there is intrigue in both fights and that's why people will buy PPV and that's why people are so excited for Maidana.

Argentinian fans will pack the MGM on that night.

 

People need to forget about a Mayweather/Pacquiao fight for the time being. We've been down that road before. That fight won't be happening this year. Maidana is good choice, all things considered. The fight should sell reasonably well. It's a unification bout, and it actually has a good shot to be an entertaining bout.
