bussiness over sport, if every fighter won and got on a big stage that i know could really fight, boxing would go bust

 

Luke is 26 he hasn't got that much time, he does need to start stepping up he is fighting the same opponents he was a year ago, every year needs to be a gradual step up surely. At this rate he wont fight for a world title until he is in his 30s ?

 

theres very few stocky head rolling agressive medalist coming through, its that silly bouncing kangaroo footwoork, for god sake david price was at it, wore himself out, atsch

 

the amateur sport is f---ed, got to ignore daft decisions box away in a pro style, and you get your own back when it counts, wen your pro, tv veiwers are robbed of vicious proper fights , because a hopper and slapper whos nearly impossible to fix, sells tickets, general veiwer wants a good fight:good

A lad levels below him who laughed and joked during 80% of the fight means Luke needs to step it up a notch.

 

Lukes a class act and anyone that knows boxing will tell you that been sparring burns mitchell ect and they have been full of praise for him hes footwork hand speed ect is phenomanol but so far its been so easy for him people are getting board watching him moises was running for 8 rnds and luke in his first 8 rounder was happy to get rounds under his belt obv hes levels above these lads but its also about slowly building a 12 round fighter. Eddie said he could have a brittish title shot in sept. And as for saying quigg dealth with him better is stupid can count on one hand how many times campbell was hit and comparing him to lomachenko is ridiculous lomachenko was 300-1 as a am double olympic gold double world champ but also had about 25 wsb fights over the longer rounds no head gaurds ect so its sort of like hes been a pro for a couple of years now.

 

What do you expect them to say on live television that they weren't that impressed with him ? I agree he is a class act but he did look a bit one dimensional the other night it was just jab or double jab then straight left. Needs to use a bit more variety to open the opponent up and he did that in the last couple of rounds and he started to hurt moises with body shots, he has got the potential to be a world champion for sure I just think he needs to start moving on now a little bit quicker.

 

He said in the interview he wanted the rounds and in the last couple of rounds he started to throw more combos and to be honest it is nearly impossible to look great against a opponent thats just on the run every second of every round

 

watching somebody for 3 rnds, well its overwith before your badly bored with it, 8, 3s a different story, you have to have an aggressive solid pressure fighter to blend with him. problem is, he could get beat by him.

 

It was only Luke's 5th fight, he was in my gym a few weeks back a he is a very very talented lad

 

Hearn wont put Campbell anywhere near Darren Hamilton next.

And i would say the look on Hearns face when scorecards were read out were of embarrassment. I thought Woodhouse performed out of his skin, but i had Darren Hamilton a clear winner as did a lot of other people.

The way Woodhouse is talking he may likely continue with his career and that makes better financial sense for Hearn as Woodhouse would do big numbers in Hull or Sheffield than Hamilton would do anywhere.
So i'm not buying this "Eddie isn't happy as he's been flogged a dead horse in Hamilton" nonsense. What utter crap :-(

Woodhouse has fought on plenty of Hearns shows before and "if" he continues then i expect to see him on his shows again possibly on a Brook undercard in Sheffield or in another co-main event with Luke Cambell in Hull.
Woodhouse brings more to the table than Hamilton by far.

 

Hamilton is a big 140lb light WW no way he will drop to 135lb surely he would be a shell at the weight cut?Is that what his team have been saying he can make Lightweight?

 

Wouldn't need Hamilton to drop to 135 as it would be a non title fight. Hamilton could weigh in 141 and Campbell 137. It won't happen anyways but it's a better fight than him fighting area level LW's.

He's a big guy who doesn't offer much threat power wise. I'd have no fears sticking Campbell a big LW in with him but sadly won't happen/

Ryan don't agree at all. Eddie's face said more than a guy embarrassed. He wasn't happy with Hamilton's display IMO. He's been flogged a dead horse. His showcase was a loss to a ex footballer. He's a guy who's not young and has missed the boat. Hamilton isn't a massive ticket seller outside of his own group of fans. People won't be clambering to fight him neither!. Especially now he has no title...

As for Woodhouse i've not found anything thus far that says he's fighting on. If you have a article please send over. I'd be disappointed if he fights on. End it the right way..
