Floyd wants no part of fighters who present speed, pressure, stamina and volume.

That's why he ducked Paul Williams, Antonio Margarito, prime Miguel Cotto and now Manny Pacquiao and Erislandy Lara.

It also explains why he picked Maidana over Khan, but here I have to say that Floyd would beat Khan too because all it takes is one good punch to crack that glass jaw.

OP is a troll. He picked Maidana because

    1) His is coming of a win streak punctuated by an exciting beat down over Broner who was very widely know amongst casuals. This will make it a better PPV sell.

    2) Maidana won all the polls except for the twitter poll.

    3) The Khan fight was being widley panned since he has recently been KOed and then later dropped and scraped by a slow, past prime fighter.

    4) You're a moron if you think Khan's speed is so great that Mayweather can't handle it, but Garcia and drum roll...............Julio Diaz could. :lol

No he is not. He just has speed, his skills are not impressive. Accuracy, footwork, balance, defense, adaptability, combination punching, he is not good in ANY of these areas.

It also would not be surprising in the least if Khan were stopped by Mayweather. Mayweather is not a big puncher, but he is accurate, and Khan's chin isn't good.

Khan will be competitive for maybe 2 rounds. After that, he spends most of the fight on the retreat getting the crap kicked out of him, or gets stopped.

Because they were the two most viable options.

LOL, at Speed and Margarito in the same paragraph.

And didn't prie Cotto say he was too green for Mayweather. And did't Pacquio turn down the biggest payday of hsi career.

Floyd knows about boxing and he definitely knows which styles are harder and which styles are easier for him.

If you look at his last 10 fights or so, the only tough fights were against guys with excellent amateur records.

    Shane Mosley (230-15)
    Oscar - Olympic Gold
    Zab Judah (110-5)

In each of these fights he has had trouble. Aside from Castillo, these are some of the most testing fights for Floyd. It shows that it takes a very high, well developed boxing brain to get at Mayweather. Guys like Canelo, Guerrero, Ortiz who have little am experience have an extremely low chance. You need to be able to box with him, period. This comes from amateur experience.

Floyd fights only styles that suit him. When is the last time he tangled with a southpaw? Judah, and the fight posed him some difficulties early even with Judah's mental lapses.

He doesn't fight other boxer styles much either. He likes slow Latin plodders.

The more I think about it, I think I would have preferred a Khan fight. The lightening speed would have been entertaining.

I love Maidana but he is going to get completely outboxed.

Ortiz and Guerrero were southpaws but both were total no-hopers

Neither khan or Maidana have a chance. But khan may have been interesting for a bit because Floyd ain't faced real speed for a long while

There are other options IF Floyd wants to take a risk , really test himself, and that would be fighting Lara, or Golovkin

Floyd can sell ANY fight, so if he wanted to test himself against Lara they could sell it as his biggest test for years
