Good win nothing more, nothing less. Matthysse is a good but not great opponent and Garcia boxed quite well. Matthysse is/was not a top p4p fighter and there's still a question mark over whether Garcia was just lucky or if he could beat him again.

Very big if you consider that Lucas was undefeated in the eyes of hardcore boxing fans. Matthysse beat both Zab Judah and Devon Alexander, but the judges favored the American fighters in those fights.

I think this win will get better with time, because Matthysse should get some good wins in the future.

Hm. Yes this is a real possibility.

Garcia is taking some tough tough fights.

    Something very unconvincing about Garcia.

I know he is a forum favourite but I'm not impressed with him. He lacks skill and aggression and feel he has ridden his luck somewhat.

My prediction is that he gets found out quite soon and the Garcia clan crumbles into dust.

This is what I mean, unwarranted hate.

The man takes on all challenges and beat Matthysse's pants off.

He made Matthysse think about retirement. :deal

Garcia @ 25 beating a prime Matthysse at 30. One of the best wins of this era. Easily.

Garcia has struggled against very mediocre opposition, Matthysse was/is overrated as well and he fought with one eye for much of that fight.
You need to stop nuthugging because the Garcia express will be derailled soon.

He has looked unimpressive other than the hook with which he caught a shot Morales.

Kudos for taking the Matthyse fight but he has otherwise taken easy fights as champion.

Wasn't impressive when he beat Matthysse (Knocked him down and outscored him), and knocked Amir out? He also beat a reinvigorated Zab by a good margin.

Jesus, the hating is strong in this one

Your swooning has made your memory fuzzy. Don't worry, it happens when you're lost in the throes of love.

He didnt knock OUT Amir Khan, he knocked him down and won on a TKO. The Matthysse knock down was wrongly called and you need to rewatch the Zab Judah fight. While youre at it you might want to watch the Ashley Theophane fight and Kendall Holt. But who am I to spitefully ruin your infatuation, love in al, it's guises is a beautiful thing and should be cherished while it lasts.

    "Technical knock out"

    Learn boxing.

Yeah keep changing the subject and resorting to insults

Fact: Garcia beat the **** out of Matthysse. Hurts doesn't it. :hi::yep:rofl:lol:

I've watched every one of those fights. Garcia won clearly everytime.

And yes it was a legitimate knockdown. A shot to the temple made Matthysse go off balance, and Garcia knocked him down with 2 more shots

    Keep denying the truth :hi:

Not sure if you're looking for a genuine discussion or affirmation and approval for your new fantasy boyfriend?

No doubt you've festooned your bedroom with posters of your most recent hearthrob and perhaps one or two of the other member of the Garcias boyband - namely Angel. I fear heartache lays ahead for you just as it did for thousands of teenage girls when N-Sync split up, but remember its just a phase and one day youll look back and laugh about it. Time is a great healer.

I'd be more than happy to engage in a meaningful boxing discourse with you in regards to D Swift. But it seems to me that you have come with 1 agenda, to post hateful/spiteful comments about him.

If that's how this conversation is going to go, I might as well respond in this fashion.

An agenda? no. An opinion? yes. Unfortunately, because it doesn't match yours you regard it as 'unwarranted hate' even though I laid out the reasons in my original post.

Basically your thread is more or less asking 'just how wonderful is Danny Garcia' , leave those discussions for his fansite, this is a boxing forum.
