reason i ask this is after floyd announced the maidana fight alot of haters came out on forums and facebook saying floyd is afraid of khan he is afraid of his speed ETC ETC.

not to me its pretty plain to see that floyd wanted khan otherwise he would have never made it into the discussion (especially seeing as how he did not deserve a shot anyway)

so im starting to think floyd planned all of this hoping the haters would say floyd does not want to fight khan etc so he can fight him in september and "prove the haters wrong". personally i think khan is a great fight for floyd stylistically but i was disappointed he was even in talks with floyd after have such a poor showing lately, id love to see floyd face khan but only if khan earns the shot (hopefully by beating alexander, or brook)

i would argue that mosley gave him trouble... he landed 2 good punches and mayweather dominated after that. there have been tougher fights for floyd no doubt..

yes he will but i think we can all count on maidanas warrior spirit to continue to fight to the bitter end and not just try and survive the full 12 like mosley did an notable others

 

All Khan has is speed and absolutely nothing else out of that. Everything else he does is predictable and easily figured/timed even by the likes of Molina who constantly timed him with the same punch Garcia sparked Khan with but lacked power to make a mark. For someone like Mayweather Khan would be overwhelmed and sparked out like Ortiz was if not worse. There's a reason Khan and his team decided to stay inactive for one year in hopes of guaranteeing a major payday without anyone random sparking them off it for good. If Khan wants a shot he needs to show some activity and win a meaningful fight in the ring and out of twitter for change.

 

Both Maidana and Khan are poor opponents for an ATG. Maidana was outclassed by Alexander not so long ago and his best win came against a hypejob who only fought once a WW. Khan may have more tools but he also has one of the weakest chins in the business and appears to be in decline as he was almost KTFO by Diaz.

In my view, these are two worthless fights against two guys far from elite.
