Had power, but average boxing skills.
He loves his Foo-Foo too much, and always came in way too heavy, slow and not very much ring IQ. Typical made-for-Klitscho opponent.

 

Sam Peter isn't overrated, everyone knows he is a C level boxer.

But he is the most impressive win on both Klitschko's records - so if anyone is overrated it's the Klitschkos because people believe the farce that they deserve a spot in the top 10 annual p4p rankings.

That's why he says "overrated puncher", which means he was basically a mediocre boxer and even his main asset (his punch) is overrated. That's the object of this thread...

Sam Peter had great power.. Just like most power punchers that straight forward boxers..u can take it away by giving them angles..trust I know I fought him

This thread is perfectly in line with JAB's agenda of proving the Klitschkos' are inferior. Anyone would need to be either stupid or a liar to deny it.

Just about every generation has at least one fighter like that- the 90's had more than their fair share.

Given the right style matchups, Sam could do damage against other fighters typically held in higher regard- I'd pick him to knock out Norton despite Ken being more skilled, for example. I'd also peg him to knock out Shavers, who couldn't take it near as well as he could dish out.
