Had power, but average boxing skills. He loves his Foo-Foo too much, and always came in way too heavy, slow and not very much ring IQ. Typical made-for-Klitscho opponent.
Sam Peter isn't overrated, everyone knows he is a C level boxer. But he is the most impressive win on both Klitschko's records - so if anyone is overrated it's the Klitschkos because people believe the farce that they deserve a spot in the top 10 annual p4p rankings.
You mean a former Klitschko victim ? :verysad You're so transparent it's laughable That's why he says "overrated puncher", which means he was basically a mediocre boxer and even his main asset (his punch) is overrated. That's the object of this thread... Poor Jab, it must have been a nightmare for you these last ten years.
what gave it away the thumbs up? I am trying to prove a point to another poster . . . thank you very much
Sam Peter had great power.. Just like most power punchers that straight forward boxers..u can take it away by giving them angles..trust I know I fought him
JAB5239 hates Peter because he lost to both Klitschkos. This thread is perfectly in line with JAB's agenda of proving the Klitschkos' are inferior. Anyone would need to be either stupid or a liar to deny it.
I've never claimed the Klits inferior. In fact I have them both in my top 12 heavyweight all time h2h. Kind of funny you didn't see fit to bump that thread though, isn't it? Peter however was a crude slugger and overrated as a puncher in my opinion. How does that slight the Klits. Its pandemic of a weak era that Peter was successful, not of the klits themselves. Nice try though, but you just keep looking more and more like a lunatic trying to manipulate sane people to see things you conspiratorial mind has made up. Get some help mama's boy. :hi:
Legit power, eh skills. Just about every generation has at least one fighter like that- the 90's had more than their fair share. Given the right style matchups, Sam could do damage against other fighters typically held in higher regard- I'd pick him to knock out Norton despite Ken being more skilled, for example. I'd also peg him to knock out Shavers, who couldn't take it near as well as he could dish out.
Heavy handed. Not some huge all-time great puncher, but he had power. His technique and skills on the other hand...... He landed some hard shots to Toney's temple area that hurt Toney but Toney took it and survived and won the first fight in the eyes of most. Shows you how tough Toney is.
