I respect both men as boxers and that is all that matters. If you are going to do a true measure look at how money writers claim that Floyd is the greatest fighter of this era . . . that is respect. in the modern sense an Icon can be created for the their notoriety as well as respect. Tyson was the biggest icon in boxing at the time because of his notoriety . . . Ali was an Icon in his day because what was perceived as his notoriety that today is looked upon as respect.

who has Manny fought that was faster than him? was a 40 year old JMM faster when he knocked Manny out cold for 10 minutes? Was Medgoen Singsurat faster then he knocked him out? Was Morales faster when he outboxed Pac the 1st time? Was Rustico Torrecampo faster than Manny when he knocked him out?:nono

Who has Pac fought in 62 fights that was faster than him?

ALSO…Zab didn't catch Floyd with a Hayemaker, he landed a basic left through the gloves. Are you saying that one little left that Zab landed was better than all the punches Mayweather landed the entire fight? Zab landed in single digits in 10 of the 12 rounds. He got dominated. Just cause a guy lands one hard punch in 12 rounds doesnt mean he was anywhere close to winning. Guys land hard punches on fighters all the time. :-(

I am glad you can see this fact. I knew I had respect for you as a poster, But I disagree with you on your second point.

Do you remember when Floyd was going to be sentenced and everyone thought he would be sent away and could not fight? Arum wanted to set-up a Pac v JMM fight on May 5th but as soon as Floyd got his sentence pushed back Manny had a cut that would not heal, they needed to build a stadium . . . etc.

If you cannot see that was team Manny fault :patsch

but back to the point of Manny walking away from the first deal. He cannot expect that deal to be there waiting for him 3 years later. conditions have changed and floyd was the bigger draw, 40 mill was a bit of a low ball offer but it was probably about as realistic as a 50-50 offer at that time. since then Manny stock has continued to fall and has zero leverage. Now he is demanded Floyd call him to make the fight? why cannot he pick up the phone? that is why i think it was more of a promotional thing than a real offer especially since he turns around and announces the Bradley fight a week later . . . kinda like he did with the Clottey fight.

Now I am not saying that floyd does not drop pacs name to promote his fight . . . but we have to put it all into perspective

Yeah mate, I know it's been *******ised and got wrong so many times now it has entered the popular lexicon. It's still wrong though, it's not a grammar thing it is just wrong. Which actually suits a lot of the posters on this forum.

you are narrowing the definition and your sample group is to small (not scientific . . . people vote against floyd more now because of their dislike of him and his next choice for an opponent)
