Because British boxers besides Lennox (not even pure British) have not been good since the days of Turpin.

Yes that includes overrated hype jobs like Eubank, Benn, padded record Calzaghe with a gift over a 43 year old man - the best competition he ever fought, padded record Hatton, Carl Froch receiving gifts here and there, etc.

The Scots like to keep their best sportsmen to themselves. They tend to forget they are part of Britain.

1 He isn't a trash talker or do controversial things, Sadly Chisora is more well known i reckon.
2 He is Scottish smaller market to connect him with Hatton for example had a much bigger fanbase to tap into.
3 He isn't a big puncher, if he was smashing out guys in clinical style he would get more attention.
4 The division he is in is not very glamorous or marquee.
5 He didn't win anything at an Olympics.
He has no ethnicity like Khan has with the ****stani backround (not racist just fact Khan has some fans simply because of his heritage)

As others have said he doesn't have an engaging personality for TV. He hasn't had great tv exposure since being at his current level and when he has in his last two fights he hasn't performed. Also, he is Scottish so there is some bias to write about English fighters.

A win on Saturday would be his Lacy win and he will get a lot more fans. Hope he does as he seems like a top bloke! Good luck Rickster :good

Yeah and look how long it took for Calzaghe to get any mainstream attention, not till the end of his career, On my other points Naz was a trash talker flashy and outspoken, he also had killer power along with his ethnic heritage. I never said it was all down to the Olympics just 1 or 5 points i made and it goes a long way for a fighter, Joshua is already getting the star treatment and big coverage, Froch has only really become a star at this late stage of his career despite being at the top for years. winning an Olympic Medal makes you a name from the start no denying that.
