How does a guy who has done literally nothing in the last 2 years aside from lose and squeak by opponents he has dominated, get put in a spot where he could be considered the #1 contender just because he starts tweeting that with his speed he will be able to unlock the secret to mayweather.

HE BARELY BEAT MAIDANA and was getting absolutely tuned in the later rounds.

People are bitching about him not getting the mayweather fight? OK!!!! Makes a ton of sense. Last time I checked he still has losses to prescott, peterson, garcia to avenge, as well as he should be giving chino a rematch for their first fight before that glass jawed jackass steps anywhere close to the ring with money.

No need to avenge losses all the time or Chino would need to avenge his Kotelnik, Khan and Alexander defeats.

 

My point was this and I think others who prefer Kahn feel the same.

It's not the he deserves it, but his style offers something different than every guys Floyd has fought the past half a dozen years. Come forward fighters, that never never really stood a chance, of course there are exceptions to that but for the most part that is all floyd has fought. I simply wanted to see a fast techinical boxers who will not just stand there get in there and see how floyd approaches it and if any weaknesses could be shown in mayweather a game to this kind of fighter.

That said what the hell has maidana done to deserve this fight? Beat broner? Lol

Guerrero was bull****, I will agree. But at least going in Guerrero was piling up wins. Quality? Not so much, but Id take Katsidis and Berto over Molina and Diaz.

Oh, and I love this 'he barely beat Maidana' well he beat him,maidana couldnt even barely beat khan, he lost. UD. wasnt even close.

 

Neither man deserves the fight and Floyd should receive the usual backlash(which he obviously doesn't care about) for his lack of ambition in terms of opponent. However, of the two, Maidana has looked far better than Khan over the past two years, and has a few solid wins at Welterweight, including the mild upset win over Broner.

 

Floyd is always looking for marketable stiffs to fight. Why the surprise?

 

Khan is fast but not technical. His actual technical skills are lacking for a world-class fighter.

Mayweather against either Khan or Maidana is a dreadful mismatch, so I didn't really care either way whom he chose.
