Probably not, but he's done a million with hatton, jmm, mosley, cotto, ortiz, & guerrero.

I gurantee, Canelo-Angulo will not break a million and this is after Canelo was involved in his mega fight vs Mayweather. But I guarantee Mayweather-Maidana breaks a million.

Please answer me this. How many times in boxing history has a c class hype job ever defeated a #1P4P fighter in his PRIME?

C class fighters don't beat ATG's. Margarito's only good win vs an elite fighter is tainted with a cloud of suspicion because he was caught cheating in his next fight. Floyd has defeated numerous c class and b class fighters in his career, Margarito would be no different than the others.

As I said, you can argue the why, but you can't argue the if. No matter how you splice the numbers, Floyd is the biggest boxing star since Tyson, and he is doing it in an era in which boxing as a whole was less popular than it had been since before Ali.

I would also take it a step further and credit Floyd and Manny with rejuvenating all of boxing. The past two years we've finally seen a real uptick in the sport's popularity for the first time in years. It's no coincidence that it happened during the peaks of Floyd's and Manny's popularity.

but Floyd fought Oscar once…:rofl Since then he has fought a bunch of guys not named Oscar yet he he still selling more PPVs than OSCAR:lol:

Are you telling me people have been buying his PPV's the past 7 years because of the one time Floyd fought Oscar? Fans aren't forced or obligated to order Mayweathers PPV's, they do it because they want to.

    Go to sleep:dead

Mayweather will do well below 1million against Maidana imo, that means Mayweather needs a real dance partner to put up big numbers.

Under 700k for Maidana is my prediction.

. Some choice cherrypicking to keep that zero intact and BINGO, you've convinced the casuals that you're invincible.

Nothing but credit to Floyd for that, but that zero is a huge part of why he's still a draw. Pac was enjoying the same kind of post-DLH success until he lost.

Floyd ducked him and he never would of fought him unless he was old and shot and there was a catchweight and a rehydration clause in place. /thread

People underestimate his power i think. I've not been hit in the face by him so I don't know for sure. But I do think he carries a decent level of power. His style just isn't meant to be knocking guys out all the time.

Then he may well have been able to muster the courage to fight Pacquiao or at least one great fighter who was in their prime.
