It seems a good 80% of the threads on here regard the big boys. Yet, I find that division, over the course of the sport's modern history. I am curious how others rank the traditional 8 in terms of historical excellence, depth and consistency. Here I go... 1) Middleweight 2) Welterweight 3) Lightweight 4) Bantamweight 5) Heavyweight 6) Lightheavy 7) Featherweight 8) Flyweight
1 - Lightweight 2 - Middleweight 3 - Welterweight 4 - Bantamweight 5 - Featherweight 6 - Light-heavyweight 7 - Heavyweight 8 - Flyweight
Upon second look, I actually prefer yours to mine with the exception of Middle being number two. Lightheavy is more consistently great over the long haul than the heavies.
I don't see how you could possibly put LHW under HW. There have been far more excellent LHW's than HW's.
And yet, the top ten topics today on this board regard heavyweights. It makes me think that perhaps most in these parts don't know much beyond one of the least successful divisions in the sport.
There's something to that. But gravity and body mechanics and all that **** makes it difficult for the big guys. With only a tiny handful of exceptions they're just never going to look as good as the lightweights, the weltereweights.
lw ww mw fw lhw bw hw flw i expected to put hw last tbh, but the extra £$£$ for hw's probably attracted more guys than min weight. the most thought was between feather and middle.
1. Welterweight 2. Middleweight 3. Lightweight 4. Featherweight 5. Heavyweight 6. Light Heavyweight 7. Bantamweight 8. Flyweight Heavyweight and Featherweight are kinda interchangeable for me.
