saw this fight on the sky sports red button , love appleby , but he fought at 140 i believe against a novice , and looked over to his corner a hell of a lot in the last 2 , i had him winning also . Worrying tho that he looked shook every time he was hit . still got skills , but id like to see him retire given the fact they thought he had a bleed on the brain after his last bout

    Lost to a 6-0 novice.

Not sure where he can go from here.

Heard that too but Appleby seems a long way from the fighter that burst on the scene.

He won that fight. He is still an admirable all-action pressure fighter. The novice he fought wasn't bad either, Philip Bowes, but the decision was a disgrace. Appleby couldn't believe it. Neither could I.

Wouldn't be the first time he's lost a close yin or even one he's deserved. What do we think the future has for him in the ring?

I don't see any reason for him to pack it in, but it must be a concern if he's fighting 6 rounders. He's still competitive and has great support. I'd pay to see him fight again and I'm sure others would too. But to avoid hometown decisions maybe he needs to fight closer to home...!

Maybe Paul could never have been taught to not fight so recklessly, but I honestly think this lad was matched far too hard far too soon. Surely one of Britain's true wasted talents.

Jesus, yer need a ko in every round to get a draw in scotland, he was no good to begin with, and i bet he dident get no hometown big size advantage for his early fights, that why when he got to 10 and 12 round level he fell apart, shouldent have been there to start with.
