I actually feel sorry khan

Actually lfeel less sympathy for him after listening to him...


It's obvious floyd and his team were pissed at the way khan was going off on twitter about signing the contract... In their eyes he was trying to put himself on a level playong field with mayweather.... So mayweather just called the khan team bluff and said he will fight maidana - something the khan team never really thought could happen.

Khan doesnt deserve a shot at mayweather anyway... Who has he beat since getting stopped by garcia? No doubt though i do think stylistically he would match up better to mayweather than maidana

 

I don't feel sorry for him at all and no he does not deserve to fight Floyd. Khan is an overrated punk with an inflated sense of his ability. The reason he did not fight Devon Alexander is because he was not confident he would win. The people who think his speed would trouble Floyd forget that Floyd has beaten better fighters with superior skills to Khan. Khan is, was and remains a fraud.

 

That kind of feeling may change a bit with age or experience - I hope it does for your sake - but it is understandable if you are young and relatively poor.

 

Well, yeah. Why would he organize a fight with anyone else when it would probably screw up the contractual discussions (that at one point looked very certain) for the biggest fight in Sport?

I sometimes think it gets forgotten that fighters are not 'fans'. They are living, breathing people who get punched in the face a lot for money. It is a business and the objective is to make as much money as possible.

Fwiw, I think Mayweather has picked the easy option in Maidana. Probably for the same reasons I just mentioned.

 

Khan is 2-2 in his last 4 fights which have featured knockouts and knockdowns suffered by Khan. If Khan had beaten Alexander he would have a world title at 147 pounds. He may have British fans but the American fans are not convinced by him hence putting pay per view revenues in danger. Whereas Maidana has beaten the so called Mayweather clone Broner handily. One thing Maidana has never been is an easy option for anybody. People who think Khan can give Mayweather problems because of his hand speed are deluded. Are they forgetting how fast and sharp Floyd is himself. Furthermore Floyd is quicker than Khan which is a function of the mind. Mayweather's skills are far superior as his fighting IQ and counter punching ability. The reason Floyd's father wants him to fight Khan is because its a guaranteed knockout win as Khan chin will always be fragile. Khan has no humility and despite his setbacks believes he is something he is not. You saw what good his speed did him against Danny Garcia. Khan actually thinks it was a lucky punch!
