Clearly beaten by Crawford, he hasn't looked great in his last three fights now, so what should he do now? Up in weight? Down possibly? step down in class? something is obviously not working now.....

Retire I'd say, he's got phsychological problems, he seems to have lost his desire and determination in the last few fights. He can talk all he wants about a rematch but he had his chance there and didn't give it his all

Crawford is nothing to write home about either.

That was ****ing awful. Burns didn't break a sweat in there, looked like he couldn't be arsed. Calling for a rematch? No chance, British level from now on.

Compare a hungry Burns vs Martinez, Katsidis, Mitchell etc compared to the Rocky Burns that fought Beltran, Gonzalez and Crawford, absolutely night and day the difference in attitude and determination to win.

Crawford didn't allow Burn's to do what he normally does, he made Burn's fall short with his shots and countered, single shots and answered everything Burn did land with interest

after a few rounds of that Burn's confidence just drained and it was game over.

He's hard as nails, hit him with a bat and he'll still be there in front of you - very honest interview from him right now, giving Crawford credit which we've come to expect from him.

Tonight, he just couldn't pin Crawford down. I said before the fight, Ricky's jab had to be on-song and I just thought he was falling short with it or over reaching which was the same case in the Gonzalez fight and also against Beltran (fair play, against Beltran he was fighting on pure heart and balls so we can let it slide) but that's 3 fights now in which his jab wasn't the same weapon we've seen it can be.

I scored the fight 118-111 for Crawford but he's still a world level operator without a doubt. After suffering an injury like he did in his previous fight, Crawford was a very tough and awkward fight to come back too.

He should take some time off now, I think Hearn said he'll be back out in the summer so he'll have a few months off to recover and hopefully come back hungry for more success.

He's definitely a level above everyone at domestic level, but I do think when he does return he needs a confidence booster - after his last 3 fights - then go from there.

Gutted for him tonight, I've met him a few times most recently at the Froch/Groves card and he's genuinely one of the nicest guys you could wish to meet. I hope he bounces back.

And me, just really not sure to what? Too good domestically, maybe a British Title match as a confidence booster if that could be arranged

Kevin Mitchell is the best fighter currently fighting at domestic level and look what Burns done to him - he's clearly a world level operator.

Tonight wasn't his night, he was beaten by the better man but he can definitely come back. He had his jaw snapped a few months back and to return from that against a talent like Crawford was always going to be a massive ask.

Lets face it the signs have been there that Ricky isn't quite right,

Cant take away his heart, but you have to admit Crawford was on a different level technicallly

If he'd been a bit more reckless and thrown combinations, stepping forward earlier instead of hesitating before every coming together he wouldn't have made it so easy for Crawford.

Maybe, I just thought Crawford was very clever considering he was fighting away from home in a hostile atmosphere and in his first world title fight,

Crawford started the fight so composed and gave Burn's and the crowd absolutely nothing to get excited about and slowly took Burn's confidence away round by round.

It was a completely professional performance.

No dropping back down to the domestic scene, Eddie should try to get the Beltran rematch and we will see then if Ricky still wants it.
