No one is going to remember it that way, and no one is going to care that it was vacant. Salido was the champion a day before the weigh in, he obtained an ADVANTAGE by not making weight, and Loma is fighting to win a world title in his second fight.

This is how it is, and this is how it'll be remembered.

    Round 2

Diaz is throwing left jabs straight into Robles' nose, snapping the arm out with his elbow at rest just above his stomach. Several hooks in a row by Diaz, pounding Robles into retreat, partially blocked. Robles nods at him, acting macho. Diaz is slowing down in the last ninety seconds, having spent a lot of energy offensively in the first. Diaz keeps jabbing out from a tight guard and backing Robles up but not scoring.

    10-9 Diaz

    20-18 Diaz

Robles has actually scored a few mild upsets in his career (stressing mild), which may be why he is so bold here, perhaps confident that Diaz is ripe for the picking here still being a bit "green" in this reboot of his own career.

With boxrec warriors on the prowl, I think that is wishful thinking.

While what you say may be correct, what I said is actually factual so I'm 100% positive that is the way it'll go down.

And with the way people are apt to discredit ABC titles (rightfully so), they will remember it as a vacant title. Salido had just won the title in his previous fight... also from vacancy. He isn't defending it tonight, period.

    Round 3

Diaz is moving in and slapping with double left hooks persistently. Hooks to body and head by Diaz putting Robles on the ropes briefly. Robles jabs his way free and sticks a light right hand on the body. Diaz is jabbing his way in, staying on top of Robles, slapping him up on the right temple with his quick double-tap left hook.

    10-9 Diaz

    30-27 Diaz

I don't care about a few boxrec warriors. There's enough media coverage in this era to look up exactly what happened for anyone interested in 50 years. Loma is fighting to win a world title in his 2nd fight. It doesn't matter if it was vacated on the scales by the former champ.

Boxing fans will remember Loma fighting for a world title in his second fight. That's it.
