Burns isn't as good as Crawford. They could fight a dozen times and Burns would never win. Burns is still a legitimate world title challenger though.

i thought the same when watching , ricky wasnt hiself as hiself is usually against nicky cook , kevin mitchell , laryea , evensen ... ricky hatton wasnt hiself vs collazo or mayweather and they blamed it on going up 7 lbs , its borderline comical , when jim watt even said he thinks hes hurt his jaw again and hes so brave , jesus ! ricky got where he did on heart and guts ... tonight though he was lacking in both !

Most sensible post so far. A loss to a far better fighter does not detract from ricky's own qualities and what he has achieved and what he is "worthy" of at world level.
I think ricky can work his way back up quite quickly. He might have to come of his back yard and travel though.

I do agree but Burns definately didnt seem to have the heart he's shown in previous fights? no excuse he was getting beat anyway, maybe he knew it wasnt enough!

I do agree that sometimes there are legit excuses but at the end of the day most of the time a fighter can only fight as well as his opponent lets him.

I hate it when people pose as high rollers. Acting like a bigshot on a forum is truly pathetic. Especially when he's much more likely sat at home with a pot noodle in a basement

Lewis got back in there and avenged those defeats, so you can give him a pass.
