Ricky Burns- another UK fighter down the drain....

No wonder Burns kept ducking the joke Broner...Burns is just another domestic level boxer lucky enough to win a world title......

 

Iv never really rated him, he over achieved for his lack of power tho! Gotta give him some credit

 

Burns is a good fighter, but ever since he left Wa55en he's looked like utter garbage.

i don't know what's happened for him to take this much of a dip. after 3 "performances" that resembled a fighter not even worthy of calling himself an Amateur, i think it's clear now that Burns is well and truly done.

if he wants to continue boxing, he should get himself a new trainer to try and salvage his career and freshen up his camps. because this **** that he offers up, is absolutely embarrassing.

i picked Crawford because i had no faith in Ricky getting back to his best. it turned out i was justified.

Crawford did what was needed. fair play to him.

 

He had never beaten a world class Lightweight and it showed in his last 3 performance. World class Super Featherweight but not a world class Lightweight

 

No one thought he'd ever become anything except a few brittards. Maybe more than a few.

The best UK fighter right now is Amir Khan. What a joke.

 

People talk like Burns was better before. I disagree. He was also just a step below elite of the division. He is tough and he's good boxer, but he was never that good. Beltran showed that and Crawford confirmed it.

People forget he lost to a decent fighters earlier in his career and I think he's more of an overachiever than anything. He's gone as far as he can go and his lack of power won't take him any further.

 

Gonzalez >>> Crawford.

 

Gonzalez had beaten who exactly to be worthy of such a comment?

 

Who had Crawford beat? A shot Prescott?

Gonzalez looks much more impressive in literally every aspect. He was schooling Burns defensively. Crawford wasn't. Crawford won because Burns went into the shell everytime he was backed into the ropes.

Gonzlaez utterly outboxed Burns. Crawford didn't, if we're honest, Crawford looked on Burns level, he didn't look above it.

Gonzalez outclassed him. He looked extremely slick, Crawford didn't, at any point.

 

I thought Crawford was very average. Nothing to boast about

 

A shot Prescott is still better than anything on Gonzalez's record. Crawford fought within himself and still clearly won. Gonzalez fought to his best then cried with a sore hand.

 

i think crawford showed brilliance at times, burns is not bad. he should fight some domestic-level fights, not a rematch, def not a rematch like he was asking for

 

I'm just pleased that one of the paper champions has been dethroned, he slipped through the cracks in the first place to ever get his grubby mitts on a World title (much like Cleverly), and I guarantee he will never hold a World title again. Much like I anticipated Crawford gave him an absolute schooling, there was a gulf in class between the two the size of the Grand Canyon. I suggest in the future that Burns and his trainer Billy Nelson watch more than a couple of YouTube videos of any future opponents and not assume that they're the dogs bóllocks. :hi:

 

If your talking about ducking, well Broner the one who actually ducked at 135 because Team Broner offered Burns, Vazquez and Abril 10% of what Rees got then ended negotiations immediately when a counter offer came.

But Burns would still be Broner at Lightweight.
