Considering he had a 11 pound weight disadvantage and a ref against him he did pretty well. He did not get K.O'd or even hurt once, but he did hurt salido.

    :patsch

Fighting Salido in second pro fight is crazy, but fighting Salido and Cole is just insane, haha

I scored the fight comfortably for Salido, 8-3-1 rounds, 117-112 points. The first round was a 10-10 feeling out. I gave Lomachenko the 5th mainly because Salido took the round off, the 11th because he outlanded Salido who was doing his worst spoiling, and the 12th because he FINALLY came alive in the last 90 seconds of the fight, and had Salido hurt and hanging on for the last half of the round. Salido won his rounds by moving forward, being the aggressor, easily winning on ring generalship, and, I think, generally outlanding Lomachenko to the head and body, despite the HBO punch stats. Yes Salido also fought a nasty fight, lots of holding, and lots of low blows, especially in the later rounds; Cole did a very poor job controlling Salido's tactics. But Lomachenko did NOTHING special, he never initiated action, he didn't jab, he didn't counterpunch, his punches had no snap until the final round, and I have no idea what kind of fight he was trying to fight. That does NOT get it done in the pros!!! Fantastic win for Salido, and now I expect he will be a real threat to win a world title at 130, if he does move up.

Loma's style doesnt translate to the pro ranks, all though he might have been an all time great at the am level, it doesnt always translate over.

Too much fencing, meaning he was just darting around and occasionally throwing a jab or sometimes a quick weak combo, which would win him points in the amateurs, but as we saw tonight, it didnt do **** for him in the pro ranks

Very good interview by Lomachenko, hatred blinds a hell of a lot of posters on here.

Losing a narrow, either-way decision to someone like Salido so early in his career isn't really that much of a set-back. I would actually favor him in a rematch; and I think Loma holds a belt at some point in the not too distant future.

Loma outlanded Salido, showed better combinations, movement and skills.
