He ducked a prime Margarito (who could have been cheating) "because we not fighting to see who the best is."
And the infamous duck of a prime and just past-his-prime Manny Pacquaio who would have been the only ATG on his resume but ATGs are few and far between in boxing.

But he still has one of the best resumes of this era and of any fighter in history past the age of 30.

The fact that you put bloated Marquez and Judah in the 'prime victory' category tells you all you need to know about his opposition.
Corrales and Castillo are his best victories and when you're talking about a guy in the running to be an ATG that is very poor.
Those past prime versions of DLH and Cotto also gave Floyd plenty of problems. Floyd has been a master of protecting that zero and marketing the value of that zero, I'll give him that.

 

Because Void continues to duck fighters. Void have been running from Pac for years now. Void could not even knock out the girl he beat up!

 

Um because 99% of boxing fans aren't actually fans of the sport, and care more about hype/money/**** talking than showing and proving against the best.

 

Because as great as he is, Floyd is disappointing as we'll never know if he could have been more with more ambition, while he still talks like he's the best ever. Even now, he has opportunities to silence the criticism of his picks of opponents. But he chooses not to. Don't get me wrong, Maidana is not a bum by any stretch. But he poses no real threat to Floyd stylistically or physically, and there are a large multitude of options Floyd could have chosen that were better. Floyd is basically an A+ level fighter that has never taken on even an A- level guy in the ring. When you compare him to the tippity top ATG fighters, that's a point of separation that can't be ignored between him and fighters like Ali, Duran, SRL, etc.

As for that dirty cheating ******* Margocheatos, he fought baldy instead for more money and the lineal championship to pursue oscar. So let's see he. Made more for Baldy, at least 3x more for oscar and 2x more for Ricky. Then he retires that he announce at the baldy fight and comes back 17 months later and Margo could string together 2 wins and got completely exposed by SSM.

On the way up fighters avoided lil Floyd like the plague. He called out all the big names and they all had "better" options.
