    - Ricky Hatton's best natural weight was 140.

    - Juan Manuel Marquez jumped 2 weight classes and never fought over 140 pounds before the Mayweather fight and Mayweather came in over weight for the contracted catch weight.

love how people say everyone avoided floyd. How do you know? were you part of these negotiations behind closed doors? or did you hear and read what fighters and promotors said and came to your own conclusion? when you spend a major part of your career in weightclasses that had fighters like tsyu, williams, manny, cotto, margarito, martinez, lara and GGG and you have only one of them on your resume who was past his prime then its kind of hard to say that your not ducking. HE CLEARLY ducked manny and i believe hes ducking Lara as lara asked to fight floyd and he was discussed apparantly but floyd instead chose between maidana and khan.

clue is in question. it's easier to claim being goat than proving it.

i wonder whos alt jas is to. i mean anyone who actually has researched this knows cotto ducked floyd and floyd not fighting marg was because there was more to gain from fighting the champ in baldomir for the same cash.. is this even up for debate anymore? sadly yes?

he still retired from the busiest WW division in years - say what u like, but that will always be the * beside his career

ironically enough - his 0 may well be the downfall of his greatness - 1 loss and I believe we would have seen a lot gamer floyd who could have went on and solidified his claim as the best ever...

The Cotto fight didn't happen because he was with TOP RANK. Even when both were with TOP RANK in 2006 Cotto was still at 140 and considered too Green. There's a reason Cotto's very first fight was Mayweather as soon as he left TOP RANK.

Concreto was a joke in 2007 and only first class trash and cabdrivers jumped on that mariachi bandwagon. Concreto's biggest win back when Arum was heavily hyping him was Andrew "Six Heads Zero Chins" Lewis. Why the hell would Mayweather turn down a fight against DLH at 154 for the WBC title to fight this clown?

Manny Pacquiao was definitely ducked and there's no way to defend Mayweather in this discussion. He blatantly ducked Pacquiao and came up with comical demands that were literally designed to make Pacquiao say "No" for Mayweather to save face when confronted by the raging public and media.

LOL, all the haters talk about his retirement . . . lol. you act like he was gone for a decade. hahahah. the fact is he was gone for about 20 months since floyd was fighting once a year he missed one fight. the average fighter would have missed 2-3 fights. When he announced his retirement after the Baldy fight Cotto was at JMW and SSM (who he called out several times before) was at LMW. So who exactly did he duck? Margo the plaster master cheato? Joshua the punching bag Clottey, quintana, collazo . . . none of these guys were ****. People act like it was the second coming of SRL, Duran, Hearns, Benitez, pryor and alexis. TBH they were solid fighters but I would argue that todays WWs are better.

When did you start to watch boxing . . . last week? If you watch boxing and paid attention you would know the deal about why things went the way they did. there are countless threads and post on here that set the matter straight.

Martinez and GGG are not in his weightclass:patsch and neither is Lara. Floyd is a WW, that is how big his body has grown, who has fought at JMW for big money fights despite not being above 150 during fight night.

Floyd called out zu when he was at 130-135 and when it made the most sense zu fought ricky instead. Floyd called out all the top names when he was at 130-135 but no one would step up to the plate. It was not until the Gatti fight that floyd became an attraction and everyone under the sun wanted a piece of him. after he beat Oscar everyone had him on their lips.

Even Pac's most fanatic fans have to admit it was Manny who did not want the extra testing and walk away from the table.

Margo's a biatch get the f out of here with that ***g0t

I'm not trolling but I'm reading the thread as we speak and being educated on the possible Cotto and Margarito ducks. As usual JASPER, you make some good points.

lmao he was 35 when he fought Cotto  yal some haters:lol:

Floyd is the only dude that I know, that can take a TWO year layoff, come back in his first fight against an ATG in Marquez, beat him easily, and then have that same guy go on to KNOCKOUT another ATG 3 years LATER, and all you have to say is that he was "bloated"

He beat Cotto 9-3 maybe 8-4, and Oscar got SD nod just because he was champ. Neither fight was close. And that just goes to show you the standard he's held too. You people already put him on the GOAT standard, with the expectations alone.

If Pac went up to 154 and beat the versions of Cotto and ODH that Floyd did, you people would be al on his nuts. But since Floyd has a big mouth, and he's black, and rich, you hate him. I can't take you guys seriously .

Fact is, since 2006. He's fought, Baldomir, Oscar, Hatton, Marquez, Mosley, Ortiz, Cotto, Guerrero, and Canelo.

All either Champions, top 10 P4P, #1 in their division or mandatory challengers.

    That's a fact.
