Let's mock a two weight world champion. Out of interest have you done anything meaningful in your life? Anything at all?

I doubt it. This is professional boxing and I suspect Burns has made a penny or two.

I do not understand why cliché and cheap one liners are needed when Nelson actually makes the effort to post here. I appreciate he enjoys a row, but why not make it constructive?

I would say it looks increasingly so that Burns is coming to the end of his career at the top of the game. So lets ask Billy, do you agree, and if not, what do you see, that makes you believe Burns still has a successful future participating in the sport?

I'm just pleased that yet another paper champion has been dethroned, Burns happened to slip through the cracks at the right time to get his hands on a World title, much like Cleverly. The fight against Crawford went exactly as I and many others expected, with Crawford demonstrating he is several levels above Burns, with not even the big bad Scottish crowd able to halt the procession that was last Saturday night. Ricky is a nice guy and is always gracious pre and post fight but this is boxing and being a nice guy counts for jack shít I'm afraid. An immediate rematch makes no sense at all and would be as big a landslide as Saturday was, maybe Burns would be better served in future to actually watch some of his opponents fights rather than rather naively assuming they have to worry more about him instead. Cheerio now.:hi: :nut:!::deal

Burns, like most of the UK boxers are protected by their promoters. While feasting on b level competition they become delusional about their skill level.
Look what happens when they are FORCED to fight real contenders.Eddie has honestly stated that if not for the manditory obligation he never would have given Crawford a fight with Burns. He knows better.
