He fought virtualy the same as he did with beltran, only beltran beat him better than crawford did, Burns is a very good fighter, but he struggles bad at elite level, needs to fight murray or crolla, easier fights but good ones. Keep the money for uk fighters as the only way the titles and a chunk of money don't go abroad is by being very unfair to foreign fighters.:think

Alex Arthur "wasn't himself" vs Gomez.

Darke was going on about this during the commentary. "His trainer isn't here! He's been training with Freddie Roach but he's not here. Is this the Arthur we're used to seeing". In fairness to McCrory, he put Darke in his place and said it was the same old Arthur

If Ricky Burns had been as fired up, motivated and determined to fight as he was against Roman Martinez do you think he would have won? I do. Therefore he wasn't at his best on Saturday.

Martinez fight he got off the floor and pulled out a career best performance it was his night a fighter that extracted more than his natural talent.

Saturday night it looked to me as early as the third round he started falling short with punches a sign that Crawford was just too quick for him as he was getting tagged.

I thought he may have been able to outwork or outhustle Crawford. The Beltran fight broken jaw would of put massive doubts anyway.

He was simply out boxed whatever the preparation.:good

I'm with you but that also happened against Gonzales, I just didnt see the same heart / determination which he has shown in previous fights.

I guess the Beltran fight may have scarred him a bit and it prevented him from getting fully stuck in as he was getting countered pretty easily.
