People whos parent(s) were athletes and are raised into the "family business". In this case, athletics. Gives them a pretty big leg up on the rest of the world.

See similar things in other niche fields, especially high value ones.

It's probably not that rich guys can't fight - it's that they don't have to and thus generally choose a different career.

The problem with Athletes is that they reproduce with beautiful women...disregarding athletic elements in the female, so its usually a loss.

In Chavez Sr, breeding choices was either tough native females...or adventure seeking Old World people who are mentally tougher than the "average European", so Chavez jr got his genes by luck. In most cases an athlete produces a weaker son, unless reproduction is managed by someone whose primary concern is quality breeds

Lock up the gene pool of Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao, Chavez sr, Valuev & you will get a hated minority that dominates boxing. However, for this to happen they have to breed with female relatives with most desired autosomal attributes. You keep doing this selecting the best studs and finest females and you got Undisputed Champions. Mayweather will improve fast twitch ratio, Pacman will increase punching power, Chavez will improve chin & Valuev will allow size variation from 105 to 315, unfortunately we have regressive ****s who oppose this kind of supervised breeding :verysad

Chavez Jr just beat a guy who had 8 loses and we give him credit because of what? Him being Mexican?

Chavez jr no question has his fathers chin . But thats about it .

Hes not as talented or a natural fighter like Chavez sr .

Just to think if he was around 8 years ago when the MW division was hot .

Edison Miranda , Jermain Taylor , Kelly Pavlik , Winky Wright would have toyed with him .

Please tell me which tough guys Chavez whooped??? Damned if Ive ever seen him whup anyone.
Sergio Martinez made him look exactly what he is A very over rated slob living off his Daddies name. Sergio literally PLAYED with Jr for 11 1/2 rounds with a bad leg finally got tired & let Jr get in a lucky shot. Even then when Sergio was totally exhausted fighting on one good leg Jr couldnt put him away. Chavez got embarassed
Bryan Vera kicked his ass first time around & would have done it again but the 200 lb jr he was facing plus referee Raffie Ramos taking a ludicrous point away from Vera while letting Jr get away with murder it was just too much
Chavez is a disgrace to his Daddies name

A normal rich guy will not be able to withstand the pressure of being in the ring, the weak genes from his concubine mother side will burst out out in the open

CHavez jr is an exception, lucky to have exceptionally solid genes on both sides. As Mexican wealthy people are usually much tougher than wealthy people...where Forza is from :bart

u don't get your ass beat for 11 rounds and then almost stop a guy like martinez without having something. he whooped martinez so bad in that last round it nearly erased what happened in the first 11. he was in shape for that fight with martinez. u don't take an ass whoopin like that for 11 rounds without being in shape.
