Something that comes to mind is calling out someone who is in the middle of yet another promotional lawsuit would ring hollow and be seen as empty a gesture as a SHO/GBP fighter calling out GGG.

Why would Team GGG want to look like they were bigging themselves up with Wards name when the fight couldnt even be made anytime soon? Makes no sense.

The lawsuit is over. The court ruled to up hold the Goosen contract.
That being said, perhaps Ward doesn't want to fight for Goosen and will decide to sit out the remaining time. Who knows, but that shouldn't stop GGG from calling Ward out, if he really wanted to fight him.

Ward is already on record as saying he has reserved an ass whupping with GGG's name on it.

Golovkin:Yes I want a fight with Andre, he’s a good champion. Right now my focus is for 160, for middleweight. I have a lot of great champions at 160. In the future, maybe next year I hope to fight Andre Ward.

Nope, reason must be something else. Bute was on record saying he'd fight him in Oakland. That was two days before Ward-Froch.

    Source?

I agree, except for the "Andre Ward behind the Mic" part.

What kind of question is that. Even a blind man could see that GGG is the fan-friend-fighter. Ward is boring to watch.

In dec 2013 the court upheld Goosen contract and I think Ward appealed and that it is pending for this year.
It appears that once again promoters have wrecked a couple years from a fighter's career leeching off the proceeds. Ward ain't having it and is probably waiting to make a decision on how he should proceed. That's probably why he has talking about retiring rather than being held up by crooks and robbers. I think according to the terms of the Goosen contract he still has to fight three more fights under Goosen to satisfy the terms.

Well I do wish him luck. I dont see why some fans side with the promoter on this, I dont even think Goossen did much for him. Ward got his "shot" and marketing from SHO who organized the Super6, not because of anything Goossen did.
