It means exactly what it says on the tin. That it's not half as easy some people think for a boxer to catch a world class MMA fighter with that big shot if the MMA fighter is solely focussing on trying to grab a hold of their legs and take them down to the ground.

lol But Haye is super fast, athletic and powerful, if he says he experienced great difficulty catching MMA fighters and stopping them from taking him down, then I'll take his word for it. I don't know who would win between Tyson and Couture. But what I do know is Tyson would be tapping out faster than he could nibble an earlobe off within seconds of being taken down and put into a choke or a lock, if Couture did get to his legs before Tyson's fist connected on his chin.
True. But like I said it's not as easy for a boxer to stop an MMA fighter from taking them down as many boxing fans think it is. I like both sports, but I'm a much, much bigger fan of boxing than I am of MMA.
I can't get into MMA, it's like watching women's basketball to me, but I'm unbiased enough to say that the skill of the practitioner is more important than the style of the practitioner. However, I still can't see Couture surviving a fight with Tyson.
Watching basketball, regardless of the gender of those taking part in it, doesn't hold much appeal to me. lol To be fair, I never really followed Couture's career. One thing's for sure though, he's not going to be stupid enough to try stand and strike with Tyson.
Strong delusions on this thread. Of course she beats him in an mma match, wtf is Floyd or any other boxer near her weight class going to do when she shoots for the legs and takes them down? After that it's not a case of ref breaking the fight, she will proceed to put him in an armbar and fight over. It's similar to the Couture-Toney fight, if you actually watch that fight, it wasn't the fact that Toney was past his prime/weight or whatever, he simply had no defense against that takedown. Toney actually trained mma for months before the fight so he last a minute on the ground, he knew some basics on how to defend.
I'm totally not into MMA and don't follow it at all, but after watching some fights of Ronda on youtube i have to admit a) she is badass and seems to have some mad Judo-skills b) I get a hard on watching her fight and would probably cut of my right arm to just **** her once How much money do we have to raise to get Floyd to consider that fight?
She has to use all her grappling skills because any time she stands up with someone with adequate striking she gets her face kicked in, Meisha Tate was ****ing her up in the stand up and Tates standup is mediocre at best, being generous, Rousey made her look like Bruce Lee. her stare down is the best. this is difficult to make. boxing=nc for pedjr. no brainer. mma=pedjr has slim chance esp if he is allowed to wear the mma gloves. still rhonda easy. they to find something in between. that something will involve grappling at the very least. so unless pure boxing rules, rhonda easy.
