I'm sorry but any lsit without Calzaghe is immediately void, you have to respect his achievements wtf has Jim Driscoll or Freddie Welsh or Owen Moran done to be above him. My list would be

    1 Jimmy Wilde
    2 Lennox Lewis
    3 Ted Kid Lewis
    4 Ken Buchanan
    5 Joe Calzaghe
    6 Benny Lynch
    7 Jack Kid Berg
    8 Terry Downes
    9 Peter Kane
    10 LLoyd Honeyghan

I take it your referring to my list?

Driscoll and Welsh are actually widely considered greater than Calzaghe by people who know their boxing history so get your **** sorted my friend. Any list is void without Calzaghe!?! I'm sorry but your list is void with the inclusion of Calzaghe. n5 :rofl

Driscoll and Welsh competed in much Tougher era's than Calzaghe, beat better fighters than Calzaghe did and were much better fighters than Calzaghe themselves. Welsh for example beat Ad Wolgast, Battling Nelson, Jim Driscoll and prime Benny Leonard :yep
Joe has a record full of b class guy's. His great wins are Kessler and Bhop. Jones was shot, Eubank was past it, Lacy was shite, the rest are not worth mentioning. He got lucky vs Reid and Hopkins.
The 46 and 0 and title defences don't mean **** to me if the resumes full of weak opposition which Calzaghe's most definitely is.
Owen Moran is the only fighter on my list that's interchangeable but certainly not with Calzaghe.

Cheers mate. My order was rough. I'm not so sure about it myself. Lennox should probably be lower.

Apparently my list is void because I never included Calzaghe :patsch

Honyeyghan I rate just outside the top ten beside Conteh, Rudkin, Winston, Turpin, Calzaghe, Walter McGowan, Jackie Paterson, Benn, Eubank, Naz. It's really hard to rank the second tier guy's in order and some of those guy's can be interchanged with guy's in my first tier. Conteh for example could be replaced with Moran.

I've had thoughts about my list and I'm going to swap a few around.

    1. Fitzsimmons
    2. Kid Lewis
    3. Wilde
    4. Lennox Lewis
    5. Lynch
    6. Driscoll
    7. Buchanan
    8. Berg
    9. Welsh
    10. Conteh

Lynch deserves to be top 5 for being a top 5 ATG flyweight. I forgot just how good that little man was. I put Conteh in the top 10 in place of Moran. His boxing ability is far too good not to place him top 10.

If I done a list tomorow it would be different :patsch:lol:

Respect :good Nah I'm from Edinburgh mate.

Resume wise Conteh doesn't deserve top ten but he had such a cultured left hand. He was technically one of the best we have produced, up there with Ken in terms of pure boxing ability.

Put a list out for the thread :good
