Some more pre-finals bits I did here: Con Sheehan roared team-mate Dean Gardiner into the super-heavyweight decider - where he awaits http://www.irish-boxing.com/best-ma...cuss-their-up-coming-super-heavyweight-final/ Michael Conlan claims deal was in place for him to move to 56, and John Joe Nevin to 60, if they both stayed for Rio. http://www.irish-boxing.com/conlan-...eight-and-is-ready-to-claim-first-56kg-crown/ Steven Ward ready for 'Joe Frazier'-like Gary Sweeney in heavyweight final; reckons Tommy McCarthy's pro move opened the window for him to gain a title and a friend http://www.irish-boxing.com/steven-...mmy-mccarthy-as-irelands-leading-heavyweight/ Read em and share. Cheers
Just turned 25. Real pity about the missing boxers this year. From last year (OK, barring injury) we're down Egan, Nevin, Quigley, Turner, McCarthy & Cummings. That's a lot of quality in anyone's book. Think Nevin, McCarthy & Quigley or Cummings would all have had a real chance of winning the titles. And unfortunately it shows a bit.

3rd round of O'Reilly vs. O'Neill... For the most part the orthodox lad in blue managed to outbox the red-clad southpaw, keeping him spinning to face up while trickling in accurate straight punches, but about halfway in he got caught with a corker of an overhand left while circling lazily in close.
Cheers got it just in time the O'Neill v O'Reilly. Excellent Fight! O'Reilly just about edged it for me.
