Beltram and Crawford maybe world operators at LW but it is a division short of real class. I hadn't even heard of Belram before he fought Burns and Crawford came with a big rep and for me didn't look anything special. Domestically it's a strong division with some good matches to be made and I think Burns would probably beat them all although I would fancy Murrey if that fight happened. But the one we really want is Harrison Burns although I accept that it is a long shot that it will ever happen.
I only said "could" do damage.Harrison hasn't fought in a while. We don't know what he's been doing in the meantime.Under normal circumstances,no,Ricky wouldn't hurt him.But burning the candle at both ends can take a lot out of you.I know a bit about that.Ricky Hatton against Senchenko is an example.Hed have beat Senchenko every day of the week if he hadn't had 2 years of slack living. It caught up with him.And I suspect he's an amateur at that game compared to Scott. If he was as fit as he was against Walsh,Id say you were probably right, but maybe that fight COULD be the last straw.I also take your point about Rickys recent fights.Wish he'd retire now.Nothing to prove.
Exactly mate I don't have a problem with a guy getting beat when he leaves nothing in the ring in fact I applaud it as I did with McCullough when Harrison bashed him up. When Ricky fought on with a broken jaw I applauded that as well although I booed the result as it was bad for boxing. I want to see the best man get the result whether he is Scottish or not. For a fighter to be scared to take a punch and not have decent offensive punch and getting paid six figures for it, I will not be paying to watch that shite again.
Harrison would be fitter than Walsh fight as he's been in gym 18 months, as long as he had 10-12 weeks notice too. Ricky can't handle pressure or hard combination punches anymore, so is tailor made for Scott as that and iron jaw are his strengths. Burns owes Scottish boxing fans as he's made about 500k of last 3 fights and not repaid fans with performances. So give fans what they want Ricky summer fight v Scott harrison
Harrison doesn't punch hard you fool that Hungarian schoolboy got up 4 times from his punches, Burns would stop Harrison in 5 rounds. What about the Victor Polo result? That was a complete farce What about the Ethiopian he done in 1 round that's far worse than any of Burn's opponents, short memories boys.
Also without being cruel to Burns but i don't think there's much going on between his ears, always get the impression that Ricky's life time ambition is to work full time at JD Sports and just enjoy his Iron Bru and cheese and onion crisps. Scott Harrison is an intelligent and very complex human being who has always had to fight his demons throughout his life. Scott represents the duality of all REAL MEN in that we have one side of us that tries to fit into the un-natural system we call "Society" and the programming that men have been forced with. His other dual side is what we men all are without the programming, the warrior and artist who wants to howl at the moon and create truth. Scott Harrison is and always will be a Warrior against the system, he's also a talented artist and a great philosopher on life which he tries to capture in his paintings. [YT]ssoCCeY4uYs[/YT]
Didn't know he'd been in training, but guessing you know more than me,especially coming from Glasgow. But don't know the situation regarding a license, maybe you do.I would like to see Harrison box again,he did well against Walsh, but IMO decision was right.Im guessing he needs to for more than one reason. But as said,Id like Ricky to retire. Having said that,he's been boxing at world level,Scott has been out for a very long time.Surely if he's going to fight Ricky he would need to beat a few at a lower level? One thing Im sure of,hell never be near to the terrific fighter he was.He lost that himself.
Good post!! Good little artist isn't he. As Terrence Mckenna said, culture is not your friend. Some people simply can't adapt to modern life and there's also the aspect of the human body being a very complex unit, a lot of psychologists think that a lot of the addictions and bad behaviour we witness in our culture stems from chemical imbalances and also the modern humans are pretty much red lining their adrenal glands constantly which then creates the chemical and hormonal imbalances. From the amount of information we process these days to some of the images we are exposed to, and also the social Darwinism aspect that's promoted, the survival of the fittest etc. Most of our addiction, behavioural problems, and repetitive negative thought patterns are established from a very early age. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sMHR3wznRUg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9c8an2XZ3MU
Polo was close not like Beltran. Ethiopian was mandatory challenger with unbeaten record, not Scotts fault, had to fight or vacate. I can tell you worse getting Nicky Cook out of retirement and him falling to ground within seconds having not been punched, and finding out he has a chronic back injury. Hungarian lad got stopped in end with body punches, good performance after such a long lay off
Scottish area of BBBofC decided to lift his suspension as they were happy with the paperwork he provided with regards to outstanding court action in Spain. the BBBofC normally sign that off as area council decided but in I believe an un-precedented move they over ruled the Scottish area council down at HQ in Cardiff. Scott will be first to admit he has done things he regrets, but has been raising money for a childrens hospital by running the Glasgow half marathon, doing gym classes for the public, writing an autobiography, personal training and training himself as well and painting. So is doing a lot of good up in Scotland just now
Great stuff. The Zeitgeist movement and McKenna are both brilliant sources of truth that are dealing with the nature of programming we all start getting as soon as we're born. If anyone rebels outside of their programming they're seen as a threat and are dealt with by those who are in power to keep you programmed and docile. Bringing it back to boxing, Scott Harrison would give Burns a hell of a fight so why not make the fight? It's the biggest fight Burns could now have seeing as he's no longer World Champion. There's no reason for the BBBofC to withhold Scott's license now and he deserves to make a living from his chosen profession whilst he still can.
