Did they ever drop Alvarez from the PPV, though? :huh My cable guide lists the special non-PPV bout on "Countdown Live" as being Linares vs. Arakawa, so unless they simply haven't updated it since before Figueroa pulled out... That would be crazy. Omar Figueroa out, Ricardo Alvarez vs. TBA dropped from PPV, Jorge Linares vs. Nihito Arakawa promoted to its place, then Molina jammed up for the outstanding warrant from Wisconsin and the visa issues it triggered, replaced in turn by Ricardo Alvarez vs. Sergio Thompson (which basically has no effect on the end result, just a matter of by whom Alvarez is getting KTFO... Thompson is no less certain to get the job done than Figueroa would have been...)
I've done the whole going out to a bar with friends and watching PPVs, watching PPV's with friends at home with a nice TV.........maybe it's just my personality but for fights like this I prefer to be alone at my comfy house with no distractions and sipping a cold beer.
