alvarez has a lot of heart and hes trying to do the right things but....

Thompson is getting pushed onto the ropes; Alvarez taking over with frenetic combinations of left hooks and right hand chops, barking with each strike or cluster, many of them blurring together with no recoil in between to generate power, just a swarm of arm punches, but keeping Thompson entirely quiet and on the defensive. Thompson is sleepwalking here. Alvarez is carrying both arms low, falling in with hooks and lead right, chasing Thompson around the ring. Thompson is just shuffling back, arms out protectively, biding time. A few body shots flicked out by Thompson, not pausing to smell the roses.

Alvarez has long reach but it doesn't look like it, it seems like he has short arms for some reason.
