Linares skin is more notable than his chin.

MJ could have stood ringside and picked up a free nose.

"He does have one of the best cutmen in the business in Miguel Diaz", says Dave Bontempo.

Yeah...wise investment for him, considering.

Cut doesn't look like it is bleeding into eye.

Agreed. I appreciate Linares' craft. Even if he was never cut and it continued to be a one sided clinic I still would have enjoyed it. He has the same liabilities as a fighter that I enjoy somewhat similar to Hearns later in his career. Just not to the degree that some here insist. His style is beautiful to watch, but you never know what will happen. It's like an x factor that makes him exciting.

The neurological link to knock Arakawa out is like Fort Knox.

    Round 9

Linares is cut but his vision is unaffected so far. Linares is running forward with 1-2s and worsening the swelling on Arakawa's own right eye. Arakawa is flurrying madly but unable to pin Linares down. Effective shoving inside, tying up, launching backward and fast combos by Linares keeping Arakawa from ever getting any offensive momentum built up. Linares' balance considering how untiringly kinetic his style is really is remarkable. Arakawa's in contrast is downright clumsy and plodding.

    10-9 Linares

    90-81 Linares
