With all these big tickets sales pushes the promoter always bull**** about how many tickets they sell in a couple of hours. I reckon Eddie only sold around 30,000 tickets today and there will be more tickets released soon. EDIT: Eddie is saying on Twitter over 12,500 tickets went to "unique sources" and 4000 tickets went to the two fighters. It seems only 40,000 or so tickets actually went on sale yesterday. The rest were "ear marked" and not on sale to the general public.
Hearn isn't selling the tickets, the fight sells it self...even Rodney Trotter could make this fight sell. It's the oldest trick in the book for promoters to claim a near SELL OUT weeks in advance of a show as it creats demand and makes people buy up tickets when they might not have. In this case the touting agencies have probably bought up all the tickets so your question should be how many actual people will there be in Wembley, they may sell 80,000 but only get 50,000 or 60,000 to buy the over priced tickets and go to the stadium...we will see.
Seems up to 20,000 tickets weren't up for sales yesterday and were already "ear marked". The 60,000 tickets sold in a couple of hours yesterday morning story appears not to be the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
its a complete scam they would have shifted a huge amount direct to agencies who inflate the face value of the tickets and put them back onto general sale...disgusting. its how these things supposedly sell out so quickly. I bet around 30,000 have been sold direct .....
