I don't think so,mate. He is never going to top that night in Hull. I think he is staying for a massive fight in Hull with Coyle, which I admit would be terrific for that city. But I think he would lose that one as though no worldbeater I think Coyle is capable of possibly being European champion. Also a lot younger. The Hamilton fight was the fight of Curtis life,a great achievement. He's been a shot in the arm,a great lad. Wish he'd reconsider, but Im not surprised at all he is retiring. Never really believed it anyway.

I agree fight of his life, he isn't at commonwealth class for me, really like him as a fighter and a person but I think it's a mistake, but he is entitled to go for it certainly.

I think it's the right decision. I don't rate him but he got a good win over Hamilton who for some odd reason was ranked highly (I think #13 by Boxrec) so perhaps he can use that momentum and a win over another decent boxer to grab a euro level title shot.

Get bored of hearing I'm not good enough for this or that, had it all my life from football to boxing, I'll just keep on proving the so called experts wrong, makes me chuckle how people can be so sure what I can or can't do when they have never seen me train or spar and only watched 2 or 3 of my fights, I'm a improving fighter, only been boxing 7 years, zero amateur fights, I'm getting better with each fight and each training camp, If I'd have listened to the so called experts my whole life I wouldn't have play 400 professional football games and been the English and British boxing champion, do be too quick to **** on other peoples dreams, if I think I can that's all that really matters, at least I'll die knowing I rolled the dice, a few on this site can't say the same

How can you say that when he just beat a very good British champ in Hamilton?

I heard you on the radio last night and you spoke really well mate. TBH you made a fan out of me in the way you not only performed in the Gavin fight but the way you conducted yourself in the build up. Not only that but you always put a shift in for Blues :good

Im not saying anything that better people much more qualified than me havent said already but you're a credit to the sport. Good luck whatever your decide to do.

Think its a bad move although I see the Coyle fight as winnable.

Curtis can punch a little bit and Coyle is vulnerable and the step up in weight wont help
    him.

I think he should have bowed out on a high - Hamilton is a solid fighter and it was only a SD win not a UD or KO so he's only just scraped by... should have called it a day

but he hasn't so I wish him well

First off it's about opinions mate, it is the point of a forum :D

Seen abit of you and its great you have proven alot of people wrong, including me in your last fight, whilst I wanted you to win I backed against you...

Good luck to you, and I hope you can continue your career successfully, it just seemed such a good way to end it.
