If Clottey actually tried, does he have the tools to beat Pacquiao?

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Classic Boxer, Mar 10, 2014.

  1. I think so. Pacquiao's punches had no effect on Clottey, yet Clottey still didn't open up.

Clottey took a dive, it's so obvious that anyone who doesn't admit so is a *******.

Clottey is too big, too strong, and too much of a man for Pacquiao.

Clottey by TKO 10 if he tried.

Clottey has always had the tools to beat most current welterweights but his problem has always been workrate.

Yes, I thought so at the time of the fight. He only lacked a heart. And you could tell before the fight that he had already quit. I recall in all the promotional material he kept saying not "I'm gonna shock the world" but "Joshua Clottey is not gonna get KOd like all those other guys like Hatton." His goal coming in was to not get KOd.

    Clottey is a bum.

Instead of fighting him Pacquiao should've fought the Special One when he called him out on ITV.

Special K vs Pacquiao when he was on PEDs would've been awesome. Think Calzaghe vs Jones while Jones was juicing.

Now it will just resemble the Super Joe v Jones we actually got, with The Special One just handing out a one sided beat down.
