My initial reaction is to say that Canelo becomes a good boy.

On the other hand, he's a pretty big kid and so far he looks pretty good against anybody that ain't Mayweather.

If he can take the shots, might be a good fight?

    lmao.

the guy with gazillion amateur fights has no chance of outboxing a nobody?

    really.

ggg, outboxe the **** out of drainelo early and stop him mid to late rounds unless drainelo quit early.

is drainelo gonna pay ggg to have the fight at 153?

Lopez' only significant achievement was a rather fortuitous win over Ortiz' in a fight which he was clearly losing.

Trouts reputation rests mainly upon a victory over a beaten and diminished Cotto ('less you wanna count Delvin Rodriguez of course LOL). FWIW Trout and GGG have a common - and relatively contemporaneous - opponent.

MWs just don't get the same attention in the US right now as JMWs...the 154 names might be more recognisable, but it doesn't mean they're automatically better.

Make no mistake. I'm not trying to pass Golovkins resume off as anything more than it is, but the talk about it being full of 'bums' (aside from being direspectful to the fighters) is less than honest. He lacks any elite names but has very convincingly beaten a number of good fighters.

Is GGG the next big thing? Too early to tell, but so far things are looking pretty good. Either Maravilla or Jr (or Geale) will be a step in the right direction.

The belief that Nelo would beat Golovkin is perfectly rational and reasonable based on their achievements to date, but just isn't one I agree with based on nothing more than the eye test. At the end of the day, I've watched thm both fight, many times, and I think Golovkin is the better fighter.

Wow , great matchup , I like Canelo but I do not think he could hang with Gennady. If he did pull it off it would shut alot of Canelo's naysayers up

problem is there are precious few big fights available to him without moving up
Martinez is a faded, aged champ riddled with injury. apart from that who is there?
that's a big call saying "he would already be the P4P king" considering the lack of big fights available to him

Golovkin jab too good, footwork too good, chin too tucked. One sided fight.

    Can you not use boxrec?

    http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=356831&cat=boxer

Perhaps the link doesn't work?...just use your search engine of choice and type in something like 'Golovkin boxer' - should get you there just fine.
