it was a great stoppage. Fans like you aren't satisfied until someone is beaten to a damn pulp. that was a great fight to watch, unlike the staged pac/clottety bs.

Stop complainig... on the other hand you have Magomed Abdusalamov.... Mike Perez was beating the **** out of him and look where he is now.. if Tony was the ref in that fight Magomed Abdusalamov might have been in good condition today

Take Cotto v Margarito 2. It was at the point when Margo started getting to Cotto that they stopped the fight. That stoppage left so many unanswered questions. Looked like a stitch up to me. Margo had no more fights left, Cotto is still making money off his past and cool dude persona. Do the math.

Angulo has taken a few beatdowns while Canelo is young and a potential golden goose. Do the math.

I actually saw the fight the complete opposite of how you saw it, bad fight good stoppage. The bout itself was very lopsided, of course if you were a Alvarez fan, I could see how it could have been viewed as a good fight.

im actually an angulo fan just think he deserved chance to finish an the one punch at end was not a stoppage worthy blow an if canelo had a follow up barrage I could see it being stopped

Excellent stoppage. The beating he had received since the very start of round 1 and seemed unable to do anything to stop, avoid or diminish was verging on sickening. If the savagery ebbed and flowed with reciprocated enthusiasm, guile and determination this would have been on par with a Ward v Gatti epic. But it wasn't and never looked likely. Sometimes fighters have to be protected from themselves, their trainers and their baying fans.

The stoppage was good. Angulo's own corner were threatening to stop it if he doesn't do anything and all he was doing there was getting pummeled without doing anything in return. When a fighter is only taking punishment and clearly has nothing left to give it should be stopped.

Too put things perspective. When angulo fought Kirkland that fight should have been stopped three rounds Earlier!
