Is it possible for promoters to pay other boxers to lose?

    This kind of stuff happens all the time....except the smart ones don't come out say, " Hey look we're gonna pay you X # of dollars to take a dive", they'll just choose an opponent who is outmatched or a non-threat and accepts his role as the "B-side" or "opponent".

    big fights for elite boxers nope because its a matter of pride and legacy... but maybe more on judges to favor someone

    Possible but unlikely when it comes to top level guys. What stops them from talking when their promotional contract is over or they've retired?

    The question was not about legality (we all know that it's illegal). The question was "is it POSSIBLE?".

    There is no oversight in boxing at any level. Of course there are rules, but there is no one who actually enforces those rules.

    It's a completely crooked business and if you think anybody cares about rules more than money, then you're a dreamer.

    It's like selling drugs. Illegal, but certainly possible.

    thats off 24/7 it shows NOTHING and proves absolutely nothing..if there was some master plan to throw the fight why even say **** like that on 24/7 .. this aient no Illuminati conspiracy

    pac always has his favored punch as does many other boxers, but it lands so frequently because they are good at throwing it.

    It's possible. I think Judges and Ref's are often told to give a fighter the benefit of every doubt. See the ref's lenience toward Broner in the Paulie and Maidana fights (and also note in the Maidana fight how long it took to get the scorecards, GBP probably decided to reverse a robbery because the fans might have rioted)

    a lot of pacs ww fights were fixed and also his 150 belt. steroids wasn't enough to help the cheating comgroidsmen
