Aye, apparently the Scottish board have gave him the green light, but the B.B.B of C say they have to wait to their next jolly boys outing to discuss it.

Hope he gets his licence back and strings some wins together then maybe he could fight Ricky for the 500k moog or Ryan were talking about, think you need to ok that with Eddie though lol

 I never mentioned anything about £500,000 Billy

All i said was it would sell better than the Crolla fight, so I'm assuming the money would be better?

Have you spoke to Ricky about the possibility of fighting Harrison and what does he think about it??

To be honest mate it's never been mentioned in the gym, Ricky has bigger fish to fry, but you can't blame Scott he wants a big money fight but as you see Ricky gets 10,000 in for his fights so really doesn't need Scott does he?
Remember Scott never boxed in front of 10,000 in Glasgow so what would Scott bring to the table? Try seeing it from a business point instead is a fan,you can lose a world title after being champ for 3 years and expect another shot immediatley but you simply can't get well beat by Walsh and expect anything near the same

Fair enough Billy. Iv'e said it all along Ricky should get another title shot, but the way Hearn is talking he is adamant Ricky will be fighting at domestic level next.
So surely if that's the case then the Harrison fight would be a better option for everybody because it would sell more than 10,000. Whereas the Crolla fight could be a hard sell to get 10,000.
I understand Scott losing his last fight and being inactive doesn't help though, but we keep getting told boxing's a business.
And Burns-Harrison is BIG business IMO.

But so would Ricky v tba for a world title final eliminator compared to a domestic mismatch

Fair do's if it's for an eliminator Billy, but I don't think Harrison would be a domestic mismatch. I would fancy Ricky to win, but it would be closer than you think.
Scott would give it 100% and you were in his Scott's corner for years and you saw what shape Scott can get himself into after a full training camp behind him.

I suppose if the worst came to the worst and Ricky lost the eliminator then the Harrison fight will always be there.

Ryan I understand your a Scott fan but answer me this honestly.
If you were Ricky been a work champ for three and a half year and you had a choice of a final eliminator or Scott what would you go for.Simple really isn't it.
Let's end the topic on that and hope Scott can fight again

meh we will just have to see what happens.

All im saying is it would be a cracking fight between the two, im a big scott Harrison fan and also a big ricky burns fan, atmosphere would be brilliant and I hope it does happen, would be like rocky 5 "young lion against old lion". be a gid night, iv got a soft spot for scott for personal reasons....and a soft spot for billy nelson as he was nice to me when I met him about 6 years ago, mind telling you before billy how you got willie limond to sign my gloves when I came in with Barry H.

I'm sorry I don't remember but glad you got ya gloves done.
I need to tell you mate I'm a Scott Harrison fan I learnt so much from him and know how hard he needed to work ect
Also I can't thank Peter enough, learning from such a great coach was brilliant and if you couldn't pick things up from him you have no chance, and I'm sure deep down he's glad I've done well with Ricky coz first and foremost Peter is a very proud man a boxing man and he's a very proud scot
