I think it makes boxing have a sense of occasion. I think there's ways to increase its viewership in the mainstream without removing PPV. I know it's a load of old ****, but look at how WWE do it. Everything leads up to the big PPV event a month or two away.

The truth is the only fighter that had the charisma to bring the numbers Pac and Floyd has was Broner. Unfortunately, he did not have the skills in the ring to match. Canelo is a good shoot out . . . but I am starting to sense a bit of a backlash against him . . . similar to JCCjr GGG, has the style to become big but he has to work on his charisma . . . he has a great shot. Thurman, is a dark horse that everyone seems to like and is a solid fighter in the ring. TBH, Boxing will probably go back to its original state and the biggest name/star in the sport being in the HW division. I do not see any fighter being even half way great in or out of the ring but as long as they do not have the style of Wlad and the Charisma to match they can be very marketable and be the next king of the box office
