Eubank Sr on Froch-Groves II

Eubank is a wise man but lot's of if's & buts on who wins.

 

the flipside is we know froch can endure huge punishment, their last fight illustrated even more than we realized. at best there's a question mark over gg in that department.

 

I think that was Froch's plan the first fight to make it a rough fight. Froch was convinced he was going to rough Groves up and get him out of there no problem. I think Froch would have the same trouble early on again if he tried that because Groves will do what he did last time and take center of the ring.
I noticed Froch said he is going to be more cautious next time, so i expect him to use his long arms and jab more.

Aye, Froch had successes in the fight, but one of the main factors Groves started gassing was he became reckless and tried to take Froch out with every punch. Groves lost his shape which invited Froch to put more pressure on him.

 

When i read Eubank interviews I sort of hear it in his voice.

Froch did not use any of those tactics because he got KO in the 1st, he only started using them tactics at around round 7 which is when he was getting back into the fight.

Groves is a great fighter and his performance in the first fight was awesome but I think his chin and gas is still suspect and if Froch avoids too much beating in the first half of the fight he will beat groves in the later rounds

If Eubank were a Politician, i'd vote for him.

 

Sees to be sitting on the fence and stating the obvious. I don't blame him, fight could go either way.

 

Aye, but Froch got caught flush running into Groves in round one, so he was obviously planning on roughing up Groves.
Froch had his successes, but i still say Groves allowed him back into the fight mainly because he went looking for the KO to much.

It will be interesting to see what adjustments they make in the rematch

Respect Eubanks opinion but Froch was not outboxing Groves in the first round before the KD, Groves was winning the jab off and landed the 2 right hands he talked about.

People are gonna be shocked how easily Groves wins this rematch :deal
